Cheltenham Festival 2012: DAY 2

First Lieutenant and Rock On Ruby have paid a huge compliment to last years Neptune.

It will be very interesting to see how So Young runs tomorrow.

Agree with Francome - GC wasn't race fit. That said I'd be going King George/Ryanair next season with him.

The front two are solid contenders for the Gold Cup next year.

Very hard to oppose him but way too short to get stuck in

There's no one shrewder than the Irish so I expect a much better run from Big Zeb and his price to drop like a stone in running........Have backed him at 7.8 and be looking to lay him for a nice profit.

I'm not sure about that (what was his reason?). He doesn't seem a stayer to me (he ran out of gas looking good b Big Bucks last year), and you need to be an out and out stayer to win an RSA (for example, I don't think Kauto would have won one).

Very admirable winner.

His reasoning was the lack of a recent run. He was supposed to have been in the Denman at Newbury.

Oh sweet God thank you!!!

Yes!!

Delighted for the horse - Champion Chaser, Finian's Rainbow.

Eh, no - Finian's outjumped him the last few and for a big bump from SE.

None of this now lads - the best horse won.

Photographer got flattened, that's like a full on car crash.

I hope both jockey and photographer are ok.

Horse might not be?

"it was same for both of them after the last"

I'd disagree with Francome there,SE was on the inside and was actually at a disadvantage
