Cheltenham Handicap Watch

Yeah there was also an Irish qualifier yesterday at punchestown

You'd say only A Great View would be sure of a run.
Exactly!!! And this is why I started this whole line of questioning.

I've backed Relegate at 50/1 antepost and unfortunately it's extremely unlikely he'll get a run off OR 130. Can't see him getting raised any for yesterday's 4th and because he was off for a year, highly unlikely he'll get enough 'cheating Irish tax' from the UK handicapper to get him to 136/137 - which is what you'd need in an average/normal year to get in.

I'm massively clutching at straws that with the low entry number, some entries not even qualified, and maybe a small bit of tax from the UK handicapper, that he might sneak in at the very bottom.

We live in hope!

As long as they leave her entered, won't you get your money back if she doesn't make the cut ?

It's standard antepost rules with BF Sportsbook - so I'm not sure tbh Lee.
Assumed I'd lose my money - but it's a relatively modest stake, so I'm ok with it, if it is dead money.
Would much prefer having a 14/1 shot running for me at odds of 50/1 :)

Kansas City Chief ran out at the last, when about to take a 3m attritional race at Doncaster, carrying top weight yesterday. Franking the form of his qualifier, won by Phoenix Way...The new ploughed into favourite for the final (J P McManus)

When do we get the weights?

Ronald Pump entered in up and taken out of the two novice chases.

It's either the pertemps or stayers then.

Pertemps makes more sense to me.

We will see what the handicapper does. That should be interesting.

Joint Top weight!

Well according to some he shouldn't even run off top weight if his British mark is raised above 150. Nonsense. Run him off top weight and let the Ronald do the talking.

Iv'e been backing him for a while. His qualifier was better than what meet's the eye...Given a lot to do, he would have won with a clear run. Bring on the hill....whooosh!
He needs the mud and extreme distances over the bigger obstacle's, or his jumping let's him down.

Good to hear you think the same Maxbet.

What do you think about his handicap mark though.

Apparantly he could run off higher than 150.

He was raised 5Lb's in his qualifier for coming 2'nd. That surely has to be it, not many get much more for not winning.
