Langer Dans going Martin Pipe where he finished behind Galopin last time. Interesting wage to watch back as the commentator clearly had a few quid on Langer Dan.

Last winner I backed in it was probably Balthazars Gift who I took at 14s anti post (won @ SP of 11/2).

He was in a £20 win lucky 15 with Bobs Worth who won that year. That alone got me 2K back off a 300 pound bet. I then had one beat and another one of JPs who never turned up.

I feel these were the days I bet like a man. Better still..a highstreet bookies would take a bet like that without clearance from head office, shareholders approval and a secret handshake off the prime ministers private secretary.

One of my best anti post bets ever that was.

This race especially when its a close finish after a 3M6F gruelling race gives me as much of a buzz as the Supreme on day 1!

How did we run into Galopin Des Champs in a handicap? It was remarkable really... He’s going to run at Taunton on February 22. Then he will be strongly considered for the Imperial Cup and then the Martin Pipe again

He's going to get in with a decent weight for once - we hope! Will need the ground to be proper good to soft/soft in places.
If not in it, can't win it. I'm already nervous. Not counting chickens though as that was plan last year and basically they bottled it a bit. IMHO.
