Daily picks.

I did know it was running only because someone emailed me very rarely even notice Dundalk cards or even watch races unless someone tells me,never backed it as I said last time out I would leave it after that run at wolves, but as its profile shows seems to be able to return to form in better grade races tonights race was a far better race and drawn wide the problem is now won't be any value. If it had been 16/1 then I may have considered backing it tonight but after that run at wolves which you won't see a poorer race couldn't back it at prices, ran well should win on that form off that mark but you don't want to be backing it at short prices, think the main positive is the trainer is running at 40% so might get it to be more consistent..

Pirates treasure

The 3yr olds look a poor bunch on the aw surfaces this season, last year had races like jack hobbs and a few others which were obviously 100 horses on the clock this season a lot of the 3yr olds are getting false ratings from desperately slow races that in theory should be creating some massive value if some just slightly above average times are ckocked up.Hopefully todays winner pirate's treasure might be one of those that is far better thanm mark, the track was obviously on quick side after first race but this time of 1m41.27 although probably nothing special the fact winner was only rated 68 and will only get tiny rise will be running in races for horses upto 75 and if back on this surface will take a lot of beating on whats been running here previously. He looks open to loads of improvement as well dossing infront so one of the few potentially well handicapped 3yr olds on this surface starting from a decent mark. The time was .74 quicker than the 3yr old maiden winner but pirates treasure carried 11 pound more and was also 2.45 seconds quicker than the class 6 handicap for older horses for this grade looks rock solid and the winner looked far better than winning margin..

Strangely running at wolves tomorrow after showing weaker form on track so there's a big ? on surface only got a tiny rise from the swell race of 3 pound upto 71 as I thought couldn't possibly be confident on this surface even though looks best horse in race on what's been seen so far.Despite that probably worth having a bet as should trade a lot lower unless everyone takes viewpoint won't go on surface,if they don't then see no reason why it won't go off nearer evens so can get at least free bet out of it.Will either win or simply won't be it's surface it's hard to know as only had 4 runs...

2/1 365 15/8 generally...

Fwiw Giggs, I believe his last run owed more to the step up in trip than the surface, and he'll be fine again today.

I wouldn't want to be backing it there again with the speedfigure it ran at swell, lookeed different class to those hounds today where hugh taylor got that down as a cracking 3 yr old handicap I don't know full of absolute slowboatys would've had it 2s on at swell in that race looks an 80 horse possibly more at swell.Might be iok on this surface sire suggests it should that's why I risked it but would rather be with its best time...

5.0 Lingfield

Engai what be worth a small bet last seasons turf won off a mark of 60 and oplaced off 60 under tomorrows amateur rider miss p bridgewater, was tailed off at swell twice starting the aw season off a mark of 63 then another 10 of 12 over tomorrows c/d.The next run was more interesting running off 52 only 7th of 12 but was slightly hampered in that race and running on at finish, that race I've been following as was decent speedfigure for grade the winner attain was running on 3rd yesterday, the seconds been placed twice runaiocht, the 3rd black minstrel has won since and the 4th tommy's gael and dove mountain in 6th also placed yesterday in better race. He's a veteran now at 10 and it maybe just needs that slight drop into horses rated upto 55 but another 3 pound drop from that lingfield run and this race looks no better with a jock that has decent record on worth a slmall bet at prices. If I were stable I'd be tempted to go to Kempton as Beverley winner and maybe even over 1m3f race, will definitely be keeping this in my notebook as there's a little race for engai on the aw.

Wolowitz

A very poor looking maiden with 6ls winner wolowitz eventually hacking up was good for maybe another several lengths on top of this,if taken at face value going to be rated around 80 which may seem harsh considering only beating Burmese whisper thoroughly exposed rated 67.Infact it may prove very generous at least on this surface, the time only .04 slower than the class 4 for older horses winner crosse fire looked well handicapped taking the 3rd powerful wind as the marker in that race off 75 you'd have to think wolowitz could be at least a 90 horse on this surface and maybe in the future prove to be even better. There's also the possibility the handicvapper might underestimate this as second makes the race look very weak so the intial mark will be very interesting, been nothing from the 2yr olds bar the one mentioned on here previously so should take some beating back here and 6fs may be even better..

;)Looks even better now that cross fores rated 87 from the same day..

Mezmaar

A 7yr old returning after 17 month break and only 8 lifetime runs was rated 95 as a 2yr old in 2011 returning today off just 72 over 6fs at Kempton, the psce held up in the race but mezmaar was motoring at finish from way off the pace, looks to retain plenty of ability and may even be better than this grade if he comes on for the run.Hopefully will have gone unnoticed and under unfashionable trainer could see some decent prices on next few runs, very promising run back as these races for horses rated upto 75 are there for the taking..

Runs again today. 7.40. Shorter trip not sure to suit though, and badly drawn.

As you say Benny it's all about the distance here, the race he won has worked out very well with the runs of Jammy Guest in C2 and wins for Loyalty and Fleckerl since both well behind. 4lbs extra doesn't look enough to stop it but as he was winning on Stiff tracks over 6fs as a 2 yo you'd think he'd want the extra distance now. Been backed in from 6/1 last night to 7/2-4/1 now, don't think i'll back it now but might put it in with a couple of others in D @Ts and hope that Shane doesn't get as far behind as he did when last rode him.

Winter Derby

A very weak looking winter derby grendisar hasn't finished out of the first two in last 7 runs over c/d and may well even win again in a weak renewal, there don't seem to be many new horses with much potential in the race I get the impression its going to be a desperate finish with the field finishing close up.There maybe a little bit of value in Battalion he has finished behind grendisar 3 times, although got left last and was making ground at finish behind don't be the other two races ben beaten fair and square. There could be a slight angle wioth battalion coming back after a break last season ran 6th in the race after 4 month break, also in previous season after 5 month break returned to win.The break from December to the end of February should suit,he's still only had 19 lifetime runs and only 6 on the aw so could be more to come in what looks a weak renewal he could be the valu at 12/1,the 5 runs at lingfield returned sps 4/1,7/1/11/4 and 9/2.There's virtually nothing unexposed in the race bar festive fare 12/1 could easily be 6-7/1 on the day!!!

Give us a belle was a bit of an eyecatcher last time out, drawn 11 and eventually getting to the front after two furlongs looking to go off far to quick, then entering straight ending up on standside, mustv'e travelled at least 4ls further than any other runner in the race.Has a pull in weights with frank the barber from that race of 7 pound as well, also has weight pulls with jolly red jeanz, mountain man and your gifted when 3rd two runs ago and beat them on that run.
Has also come down nicely in the weights, was rated 69 in july 2015 won off 62 april 2015 now runs off just 57 lowest mark since september 2014 and with claimer lowest since December 2013,i wouldn't normally back a Christine dunnett horse and think the jock looks a negative and poor draw but it looks as though horse is worth following on last run and at some point could pop up at big price.May even trade very low in running if uncontested lead as well..

Bring on a spinner
Memyselfie

An interesting time on the clock on what looked a weak handicap but the times suggests not,the winner rated 65 running .24 quicker than jaarih winning the older handicap rated 70 and carrying 8 pound less than the 3 yr old if taken at face value from those two results you could have the winner in the 90s I suspect the older handicap was just avery poor race so probably makes bring a spinner look better strictly looking at times.Still hard not to be impressed though on only 3rd run and off a mark in the low 70s should be plenty of races to win mau even see him taking on the older sprinters here and would look worth backing as the older 5f sprinters are very weak even in the higher grade races.
The second memyselfie is just as interestinglooking exposed on other surfaces yet running 5 pound out of handicap here and pound overweight and not given hard race a furlong out, this must be her surface now and looks absolutely chucked in off 52,the third sarabi was a further 3 3/4ls behind and last run here over 5fs had won a race for horses rated upto 65 the form appears to be rovk siolid...[/QU

Put up a pound if the visor works again has great chance her form with the fav stands out on whats been seen so far,i'd expect a big gamble if they expect her to run the same again..

Memyselfie 7/1 365/betfred/totesport/betbright hopefully will be at leaset half that price would be very dubious if it wasn't with form on offer..

Looks like they quite fancy this tonight Andy, even at Wolver!

Southwell forms a bugger to carry over elsewhere isn't it!

Wouldn't mind but i put the winner up on its last run over on betfair land!
