Dante Meeting.

It just seems to me that Deauville is being overlooked. If you ignore his run in the racing post trophy run on ground he didn't like you can see he has every chance of big improvement from his York run where he will be cherry ripe for the derby. Presumably be seamie heffernans mount and he will never get a better chance to win the derby. Plus there is doubts that wings of desire will handle Epsom. All about opinions indeed.

Hard to see where the anticipated improvement is coming from, really? Very much had the run of the race in the Dante, yet still only managed to find a couple of lengths on the unlucky Foundation; 3 times they've met, and each run more or less confirms them as close together on form. Couldn't say he's highly progressive or inexperienced either.
Add to that Foundation was clearly the Gosden 2nd string, the winner looks likely to find more improvement on experience alone, unfit horses rarely run in the Dante (the form is generally confirmed year-after-year) and Coolmore, normally, wouldn't run their best Derby hope in the race, snd Deauville's chances look more forlorn than his current odds would have us believe.

Why wouldn't he improve for the run. They normally step forward from it.
He's not really a quickener but he's straight forward and the step up in trip I see as a positive.
