I just thought it was cute - I found it on Facebook and I have a feeling Helen who put it up is Aldaniti on here ( but I’m not sure if she’s still on here)

Nice touch that; using a claimer to play the role of a claimer who came good.
Apparently Charles Howard and trainer saw Seabiscuit win a claimer, was not claimed so they bought him after.
Mind you , if Superman was on your back you would run faster too.

So pleased they retired him at the right time. He clearly never got over the extremely unpleasant condition they discovered and I would imagine that mentally he just didn’t want to keep going.
I know he’s going to JPs and will live a life of luxury but it’s a shame as a relatively young horse can’t be retrained for another career rather than just being turned out,

Great to hear Defi getting out in one piece, and I hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement down at Martinstown.

A year at Martinstown and he'll be back in 2023 running in the Champion Hurdle...

Glad they've reached this decision. It was saddening watching him lose ground recently in races he would have won in his pomp.
