Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Such a shame. So loved and had the best life in retirement. Sleep well Bob

One of my all time favourites too. Just an honest horse who wasn’t flashy but who was tough as teak and got the job done

RIP Bob. His Gold Cup win was one of my all time biggest punting wins

Popular Cheltenham Gold Cup hero and 'part of the family' Bobs Worth dies at 17

Nicky Henderson does get a bit of bad press on this site, but you cannot deny that he adores all his horses - a beautiful tribute. I never did warm to Bobs Worth for some reason, but that tribute from NH has put him in a completely different light now.

Bob's Worth was a lovely horse.

I always felt that his achievements didn't get as much credit as they deserved.

This

When you compare his CV to Denmans there's not a lot between them

Denman won 1 more Hennessy but Bob won a Championship novice hurdle at Cheltenham where as Denman didn't

They both won RSA's Gold Cups and Lexus's

Cracking horse but come on now!

Just gutted to hear about MTT. I did an interview with his owner/breeder a couple of years ago and she just idolised the horse. He was by far the best horse she had bred and was like one of her children.

One of my absolute favourites. A complete nutcase but incredibly talented. Gutted.

Poor old Warriors Tale too. A horrible day after the joys of yesterday.
