HS, just noticed that Saturday is Ladies Day at Newbury. :what: Is it recommended that girlies have to wear frocks and hats?

I had a great day at Newbury, despite the horrendous rain! I took a hat with me, just in case, and in the end Sarah Clifford from Bathwick Tyres borrowed it to do the presentation for the race they were sponsoring, so at least it got worn.

I had a quick chat with Shadow Leader who, like so many people got caught in the rain. I did see Headstrong in the champagne bar, but it was heaving in there so didn't get a chance to say hello as I was just passing through!

It really was more like October than August today.

I didn't back one winner today. :( I didn't even get a placed horse either.

I have quite a few on my list from yesterday Colin, so I thought I would just drip feed them over the course of the next few weeks instead because I know how impressed everyone would be with me. :D

It's nice to be able to say what I like on this forum again withouth hearing loads of group sighs and tutting coming through my laptop loudspeakers!

Colin's right though, the name dropping does get a bit much. You'll just have to contain the excitement of seeing me in future - you'll make people jealous by telling them!!

I am hoping to be at Fontwell on Sunday ( one of my favourite NH tracks) to support Cape Greko. I hope he wins again! :)

It's because there so high up the water from rain runs off the side of the course anyway, also they dont have anything powerful enough to keep it going. Taps on the course are well, like ***** water.

Are you going Steven?

and he did!

Great to see the improvements at Fontwell today. I haven't been there for a while so it came as a pleasant surprise. Really good to see Krizon's friendly face to greet me as I arrived too!

Thanks, Chris. Went to Bath in the end and had the most enjoyable afternoons racing, although I didn't have one winner. Nice to see a couple of faces from this forum too - well it was nice to see one of them, the other was Uncle Goober!! :)

Was good to meet a few faces i hadn't seen before today as well, you should have popped you face in as well Kathy.

It would be great to meet up one day, Chris. I will try and give you more notice next time. My decision to go to Bath was a bit of a late one - but I am really glad I went.
