If You Are Going Racing And Fancy Meeting

I'll be at The Curragh over the next few days followed by Listowel on the Monday (maybe) and Tuesday (definitely; our Mountain Flower is entered in the sales race).

Update: Mountain Flower has been taken out of the Listowel race because her blood count is wrong.

Hope that is just a minor setback, Grey. Who trains her? I assume Mountain Flower is a her.

I was at Wolverhampton last night.

I was in the champagne bar until about 3pm Rory. I couldn't see you at the meeting - well not in there anyway.

I did have the most delicious portion of Barry Cope's homemade fish pie though which cheered me up! :D

Well, I bought the champagne but no sign of either Kathy or Headstrong, although Mounty had his fill.
Never made it to Berks: I'm afraid my mysterious complaint has taken a turn for the worse, can't think straight or do anything much, and didn't feel up to driving all that way! Following visit to consultant this week, I'm in the queue for having an MRI scan of my head - don't all laugh at once :P

Mountain Flower is a 2-y-old filly in training with Eddie Harty, Kathy. Her setback is just a minor one, thanks.

Her form figures are not greatly encouraging so far but she has been running in fairly high class maidens and we should be able to find something better suited to her level at some stage.

I will be at Ascot tomorrow (Friday) and I am hoping to meet up with a few from TH and FF, including Headstrong and Krizon!

While Mrs Stodge and I were in the US recently (including Vegas and that's worth a thread on its own another time :) ), I got sent a letter from Newmarket basically saying it's free for Racegoers Club members tomorrow which seems a fantastic offer.

I'm hoping to attend but not absolutely confirmed.

You have to have an entry voucher already Stodge, but yes, a great day to give ruk subscribers their freebie** PS Is this a separate deal from the ruk offer? - which I'm going on

I must say local brewery Greene King put on a terrific freebie yesterday too. There was a desk to pick up our entry vouchers, and a huge tent behind the Paddock bar with lots of tables, tellies and a tote, and extra loos alongside the tent, very smart too. There was a local tipster with all the inside info - was delighted he picked all the same horses as me, not that every one came in! - and live music with dancing after the 8th race, and for another hour. A~nd the drinks at the massive bar were a lot cheaper than in the concourse. Lots and lots of pubs brought a coach or minibus and Suffolk had a great day out :D

Kempton Saturday. Big crowd of us going, all v jolly - will be in Panoramic Restaurant

Cheltenham Friday 19th, God willing... If anyone can give me a lift from Lambourn and back - or anywhere en route - I'd be v grateful: my car is overheating in low gears so I might blow up in the queue to get into the course!
