Irish Flat Season 2012

Three very promising runs as a 2yo - only beaten 13 1/2 lengths LTO, definitely one from the Sir Mark school of handicapping.

She'll have to have an amateur jockey if she is to win the 2m handicap at Galway, but trends suggest she won't win it anyway. No recent winner had raced beforehand over the distance of the race. In other words, none of them have gave the handicapper a chance to assess them properly.

Time Of My Life runs in the 7.00 Roscommon with a mandatory penalty of 5lb.

Despite Oxx suggesting it was the plan, Saddler's Rock no entry made at all for the Vintage Crop, should Royal Ascot backers be sweating?

Where is Irish Stamp? Can this yoke raise a gallop from a good draw. French form...

Have any of you Irish lads caught on to the horse whose got a stone in hand from the All Weather last week? Handicapper hasn't even put her up for the win and I've the advantage next time out down to the 7th horse out of the 13 runners.

It can run well - last two races he ran in where only bottom level claimers but she showed enough on debut at ML back in October, good jockey up but would want to see market support tbh.

Fav out - still very open - Steely Grace get s another chance for me

I've had no bet. Hartani was available at 2/1 all night with Powers but while I knew it was too big I dont necessarily think he's a good thing. Looks a seriously trappy race.

Thanks Martin. Sad day if McDonagh has to resort to taking these sorts of rides. He can't be far from a move.

They were far from being the best races run in France Gearoid but Parisien claimers aren't half as bad as they should, they'd be much better than their UK counterparts in the main and the filly has been allotted a mark based directly on her French mark (295, 29.5KG's).

She's well drawn with a top jockey riding. She could be good enough and they don't even know it!

Yes but McDonagh doesn't exactly have the pick of rides in these races anymore. Tricky to weigh up.
