Whats the story with the Gary O'Brien tips on ATR? He put up Rock Magic at 8's (7.30 Dun) and now only 5/2 11/4? Are they all overbet or is he getting inside info? Or is it merely a case that he is all over the Irish form and can spot the ricks?

A mixture of all three. He's a good judge.

Smullen turned over on an odds on shot on what could be a pivotal day in the jockey title race. Joesph two clear with a bullet in the next.

To the end of Irish Flat seaon (4th November last flat meeting - then winter all-weather season starts) there are:-
10 more meetings after Navan today (11 if you include the re-scheduled Roscommon meeting) with 69 eligible races (73 if you include Roscommon),

Breeder's Cup is on the 3rd of November wedged between Dundalk on the Friday 2nd and Leopardstown on the 4th. Melbourne Cup on the 6th of November. Conceivably both Joseph and his uncle could ride in all Irish Meetings between now and the end of the season. This could go down to the wire.

Bullets with chances today:-

Joseph 4 - Uncle 1.

Joseph is 1 ahead as I type this.

This meeting was always on the fixture list back the years. Good to see it back but ground could be an issue.
Not many flat seasons where the best 2yo and (for The Curragh bar Guineas weekend) the best ground are seen the first day of the season!

I'm sweet on Little Village in the 5f apprentice handicap at Navan today. Won nicely over 6f at Navan on reappearance (returns from break today) and was subsequently a shade unlucky off today's mark when a neck behind Amour Fou over course and distance, finishing with something left to give. Amour Fou looks the main danger from 1lb higher than when winning the race last year.

My only concern is that Little Village might lack a bit of tactical pace (probably better over 6f) but the likes of Massimo Donny and Unescorted should ensure a true pace. That caveat aside, I would be disappointed if he didn't go close today.

Similar feelings myself Tracks - put it up on naps last night. Took some of the 9/1 this morning - being backed as well into 9/2 in places. Cannot see her out of the the three if fit in a weak looking race.
