Thanks Miesque, I got that wrong. I hope the Sheikh does the sensible thing and leaves the horse with the man who bred him and trained the sire.

This lad won't train on, Bolger said as much yesterday when he said...... 'he's a very good 2yo'. He's doing the sensible thing and cashing in as far as I can see, admittedly reading between the lines.

Minsk will no doubt need the race but I have him about 8lbs well in on my ratings...he's not a betting proposition but I will be watching his progress very closely.

Listowel figures from yesterday v last year.

Tote turnover - more or less on par at around €140K
Attendence more or less on par 3,800.
Bookmakers turnover (65 standing both years) down almost 30% to €360k.

Who would be an on-course bookmaker.

Joesph is apparently at his wits end for starving himself.

He seems to take days off, he doesn't ride every day that's available to him. Maybe it's so he can eat something.

Joesph is apparently at his wits end for starving himself. Dundalk will pad his advantage.

I'm at my wits end watching Smullen catch him. You would think Kevin O Ryan would just do the honourable thing. Smullen will be going to Melbourne, we need our friends in Iceland to get that volcano going again to halt his return:blink:

He's been banned. Smullen has asked Hayes for some of his Harry Rogers rides the knacker. Hayes declined.

When did Smullen last win the title? You would have though that he would be happy to see his nephew (through marriage) win the title on what is likely to be his only opportunity.

In the last ten days he rode on the 23rd, 21st, 20th, 19th, 17th, 15th and 13th (in Doncaster). But there was also flat racing in Ireland on the 24th, 18th and the 14th, days when he didn't ride.

If it was really close with a couple of meetings to go would someone or some organisation make Smullen an offer he couldn't refuse.

There could be a new rule that all jockeys riding in November and December have to be Under 25Y/O Luke - that could certainly help the title bid (much like the weight situation did).

Ballydoyle 1 win from last 30 runners,

yes and they seem to have withdrawn a lot of horses from races you would expect them to have a presence in.

the stable is not firing and that may be a reason for camelots seemingly under performence as opposed to perceived jockey error
