Nasty incident at Nicky Henderson's yesterday when James Bowen was knocked unconscious in a fall and swallowed his tongue. Luckily for him AP McCoy was nearby and was able to get his fingers down the lad's throat and hook it back out. Bowen collected by his mother later in the day and now resting up at home.

The BHA has raised the minimum weight for jockeys, following the permanent removal of saunas from weighing room. The minimum Flat weight will now be 8st 2lbs and minimum Jump weight set at 10st 2lbs

Not sure that solves anything to be honest, wasn't the temporary allowance 3lbs as well, where has the other pound gone!

He's retained by the Mulryans and also has a nice link up with DeBromhead and Cromwell. A jockey going places.
