Novice chasers 2013/14

Must admit I do quite like Le Bec. Think the assessment that he and Sam Winner would end up in the 4 miler was a bit downbeat. Think they are a bit better than that, especially in a year when nothing is leaping to the fore as yet.

Foxrock has a major handicap in him.I'm not sure what to make of Sizing Gold -might benefit from a change of jockey and there are definitely good races to be won with him.
 
Sizing gold has a very good jockey
Jumped impressively and was outstayed, drop in distance is what he needs.
 
My father was talking about it yesterday like it was a done deal.Lynch is a lovely chap who has brought the stable to new heights but with the best will in the world he is carrying injuries.

Immediate reaction may have smacked of pocket talk....he jumped superbly but just didn't get home. I personally detest a horse who is jumping brilliantly and gaining ground getting reigned back after every fence....was it just too early in his chasing career to tackle 3 miles and are HdeB horses just not firing at the moment?

I don't see Russell being any improvement on Lynch despite his injuries...
 
As I see it Lynch deserves one more spin around Cheltenham on Sizing Europe but I could see Russell having the job at Punchestown.
 
Sizing Gold being aimed at the Jewson or whatever they call it now.Would have an excellent chance on soft ground but what are the chances of that.

I,ve had my eye on this fellow for a while too ,Nick. My one concern is they seem determined to run him on right-handed tracks. He,s entered on Sunday in the Arkle trail , but with the other two mullins animals probably unlikely to run. Has it be mentioned anywhere that Mozoltov favours going right -handed?

Some horses have entries in all four of those novice chases, from the Grade 1 Arkle at 2m to the Listed National Hunt Chase at 4m. I wonder if they shouldn't hike up the entry fees in order to encourage connections to be clearer about their intended targets? That way at least racing would profit if people persist in making multiple entries.
