Novice Chasers 2019/20

Champ was excellent for me there. Low at 1 or 2, other than though, jumped straight as an arrow and quickened nicely when asked.

Very impressed.

Hi all. First post returning from my summer Sabbatical. Where better to start than the novice chasers thread.

Work prohibiting me following the return of the jumps season as closely as I'd like, but some thoughts so far.....

Samcro - grand debut, not overly impressed. Want to see more.

Battleoverdoyen - was very taken by his debut at Galway. Ticked all the boxes for me.

Champ - totally missed this race was on today. Will have to catch replay asap.

Good to be back. Hopefully other forum stalwarts (not that I'm one) can start posting again - calling Grasshopper......

Champagne Mystery, Nicky Henderson for Trevor Hemmings.

Future national winner right there. Excellent round of jumping. I was on at 5/2 and drifted like a barge to 6/1. Seriously impressed with that.

Windsor Avenue very impressive at Sedgefield today. You could tell from Ellisons interview afterwards that he has high hopes for him.

Sh*t hot at Carlisle again yesterday. I reckon he'd be an even lower price for JLT if trained by someone down south.

On Windsor Avenue, he reminds me a lot of Kalashnikov when he first burst on the scene. Wins his races, but gets little recognition cause he’s not from a big time

I really like this horse, Brian Ellison loves it. I’d like to see it run a against better quality, but I’ve took a few various prices at the festival whilst they’re around. Can see this being one of my favourites.

Ronald Pump was eye catching today at Fairyhouse

Like how he took it on at ended the race as a contest

One that will another race this year at a big price

I followed in the Cuneo gamble on that race, backed from 12s into 4s. Ended up running like a 200/1 shot, not sure what went on.
I agree about Ronald Pump though. I took Speak Easy away from that race, Mcmanus’ horse. First run in a while and I’m positive it’ll come on for today.

Ronald Pump got to 145 over hurdles s so definitely not a mug

Today's race took some getting and he looks like one who will definitely like further

Don't expect him to be a Grade 1 chaser but a perfect tracker horse who will bolt up at a bit price someday

1.15 Cheltenham
Redzor i think will stick it right on Wholestone, he didn’t beat much in his last race but my god he was impressive. Won’t be having financial interest on the race, but wouldn’t be suprised if he runs a cracker tomorrow.

5/4 is all I can see!

Not much in against him, I'd say he will be ready to go.

The one horse who interests me is against him is Walk Away. Fences and soft ground right up his street.
