Novice Hurdlers 21/22

You know what? You win.

You are never wrong when you win. You are never inconsistent in your arguments when you win. You never say "black-is-white-is-black-is-grey" whilst you go about winning. And you never, ever argue a different point to the one being made, as you complete your win.

Bravo.

Here is my take. The best hurdler with the best technique between Dysart Dynamo Constitutation Hill Jonbon and Sir Gerhard

Without a shadow of a doubt Jonbon and that is why I think he'll win the Supreme or the Ballymore.

His hurdling technique is so precise it will save him lengths of energy round Cheltenham and I expect him to have so much left in the tank
the others won't be abe to handle him.

As far as Contitution Hill goes I think they are mad if they don't go for the Ballymore.

Henderson launches another one today that might not be far behind the other two. Walking on Air 1:15 Newbury.

My take:

None of Constitution Hill, Jonbon or Dysart Dynamo know they've been in a race yet. Jonbon's races for example, have been run at an absolute crawl, placing no pressure whatsoever on his jumping.....so can we really tell with confidence how good he is?

Dysart Dynamo has gone along at his own pace, and won with his head in his chest. Maybe he'll jump better with a fast pace to aim at? As for CH, he appears to jump fine going right-handed in deep (or deepish) ground. Will he be able to repeat the feat on Spring ground going left-handed? Again, impossible to tell until he's been tried under those conditions.

My position has not changed. As far as these three are concerned, it is far too early to say one way or the other, who is a good jumper of hurdles and who isn't.

It may have been his own pace but it was immensely faster than the other two [admittedly weak] CD races on the card. I can't see a more experienced novice being able to cope with his pace. I'm not convinced jumping will be that much of an issue. Whichever race he goes for, I can see him doing an 'Appreciate It'.

I make no comment on who is the best of the three, DO - we will hopefully know soon enough.

Absolutely, but where's the fun in not making an opinion public and sparking constructive debate? For every clown on here who can't explain an opinion without resorting to personal diatribe there's a dozen who are reasoned and articulate.

One reason is I've only seen Dysart's race the once, and I'd want another look at it before commenting.....but agree with the general point.

That’s got to be true, grassy, but if we all waited for the ultimate proof the race would be over. They have all been very impressive visually and I doubt we’ll have much chance to see any of them highly tested before the main event(s). The bit that caught my attention was the report that CH was not blowing at all when he arrived in the winners enclosure. It takes some horse to run as he did in that ground without getting puffed.
Can’t desert Jonbon, though

He's going to do an appreciate it and win by 26 lengths......what a great start to a constructive debate...Henderson would be as well leaving his at home:blink:

It would not surprise me one bit if WPM sends Dysart Dynamo for the Ballymore.

To me he looks like a top class chaser who will get 3 miles eventually.

Before he came on the scene many were saying how Sir Gerhard was agood thing for the Supreme 5/1 and there was plenty backed him on the machine
now he's 12/1 and just hanging on to favouritism for the Ballymore with no real money for him on the machine.

The mind boggles:)

I just took the time to watch all Dysart Dynamo's races and what surprises me is why after he hacked up in Decemeber was this would be wonder horse be 16/1 for the Supreme
He then goes off at 4/9 in yet another nothing race where the only possible dangers don't raise a gallop between them
and suddenly he knocks the Champion Bumper winner who has won a better hurdle race easily off his pedestal.

As good as he might be the hype simply doesn't make any sense

Dysart Dynamo's current price may also be influenced in-part by him winning the same race as Vautour and Douvan before they won the Supreme.

20/1 from 50/1 with 9 weeks to go to the Supreme..he's back to the same problem where does he go next?

Nice problem to have, though. It was another cracking performance - I think they had them ranked as Jonbon, Walking on Air, Constitution Hill before they all ran. Now it’s all up for grabs!

Very simple. Kilruit, the percieved Ballymore horse, was beat stupid on the same card at odds of 1/12. So Dysart Dynamo was shortened for the Ballymore on that more than anything else. Ante post markets are very fluid, what price something was in December means absolutely nothing now.

Walking On Air has started-out quite late. Any guarantee he even goes to Cheltenham, given Hendo's other two probably already cover him for the Supreme and Ballymore?

Horse is beautifully-bred for Jumps, I have to say.

I don't agree with that at all. I wouldn't want to be laying bigger than 7/2.

If the bookies are to be believed he's being backed for both races......maybe WPM will give us a hint but we might have to wait until they are going to post for the Supreme:lol:
