Only Silviniaco DC and Cue card ran well in that KG race everything else in the field underperformed that day. Was Menorah first run back as you say. The trainer retains faith in his ability.

He pulled up in last years Ryanair...where you read that he keeps faith.

Menorah has no chance in the Ryanair unless the extent of the opposition is Champion Court.

Champion Court finished 15L behind Cue Card in last years Ryanair.
Champion Court beat Menorah less than 1/2 L-In receipt of 17lb. That puts Menorah on a par with Cue card strictly on form.

nicholls must have plenty of confidence in hinterland to send him here when he's still technically a novice

No offence but that's reading form rather than interpreting it. The leaders went off too fast in the latter event and the race fell into Champion Court's lap. In a far more competitive Festival contest neither horse is up to competing with better animals.

You do like your drama don't you Max? I prefer to use the raceform lines where he didn't pull up. Leading until faded over 3M 1f beaten less than 1L by First Lieutenant. 2 1/2 M ideal.

Just looked at my portfolio and I have the equivalent of £20,000 on Astracad at 100/1....well I'll win the Tentofollow if he wins the QM....same thing....we can all dream

Sprinter Sacre had a very hard race at Punchestown last backend, either that or Sizing Europe improved 30Lb in a few weeks. He went from pulling double three from home, to being pushed out and hard driven between the last two.

Funny how they always make a slightly positive statement (we'll know in 10days) followed by what in hindsight must surely be deemed as insider trading if the exchange activity is anything to go by....

Incidentally he's still trading on betfair. £20,000 or so for little outlay since Kicking King Hendo got his Binoculars out and announced the stump pulling, and do beware, he did give it with the proviso that Sprinter Sacre could still have the intended gallop at the end of the week.

yeah i can't help but think back to that race at punchestown. wasn't his usual brilliance. maybe they went to the well one too many times with him last spring and it's had a lasting effect.

few rumours be going round on twitter since he missed the tingle creek that he wasn't showing his sparkle since he came back from the summer. guess it's easy to peddle that kind of stuff after the fact though.

Everyone is convinced that sdg can't win and yet can't see anything suggested to beat him

To my mind he's been improving all season and frankly if he gets 2m in heavy at ascot then he'll get 2m up the hill at Cheltenham. Left handed is probably not absolutely key. He's well ahead of rest and will win

When Kid Cassidy beat Sire De Grugy at Cheltenham first time out Jamie had gotten into a race far to early on with Special Tiara, he also made a few sketchy almost chancy jumps, Jamie never glanced back to see if there were any dangers he just assumed he had the race won and he went for home a shade early.

Aside from the 10Lb he was conceding, who’s to say Kid Cassidy isn’t pounds better first time out.

“One great use of thought is to share it, because sometimes it can make you think, you don't know what to think"

Hasn't made a semblance of a mistake since...
