Won't get it as much as he should because of ss absense. Was there today and gat to see. To my eyes he travelled and jumped better than before and is improving

Strongly agree but Somersby's fall took away from the formlines.

Easily his best performance to date. Still have a feeling he will get turned over in the QM even if SS didn't show up.

It's fascinating. I'll have my max bet on the day at bold type if SS doesn't run. This thing is in a different parish to the rest of the 2 mile division.

If SS doesn't turn up then Sizings connections must seriously think about rerouting the old boy back to the QM instead of the Ryanair. Wouldn't have to be the force of old to go close in this.
I could see Nicholls running one of his Arkle runners in this if the machine doesn't show up.

Hidden Cyclone wouldn't normally go anywhere near this race. But take SS out and the fact SDG has not produced his best round Cheltenham so far. The rest are there to be shot at. Think this was a fishing trip to see how he got on. Does anyone actually know what his best trip is?

Loved the way Sire De Grugy jumped and travelled today. He can't beat an on song Sprinter Sacre but if SS didn't show up or run to form on the day then I don't see anything else in the 2m division troubling SDG.

All you clowns can throw your comments around now but the sewer rats knew this race was rife for an e/w bet months ago

Most of of you couldn't spell punting.

Behave. SDG will kill him.

Lay of the week is SDG, firstly if SS turns up he'll win by a fence,
Secondly needs soft.heavy ground, very unlikely at the festival.
Thirdly can'y win at HQ

That's rubbish that he needs soft heavy. Since when?

He has masses in hand over any other contenders now bar ss, that he can easily win at Cheltenham. He's clearly improving all the time

If ss didn't exist he would be hailed as something special. Possibly also if he was with some other trainer laughably hailed as a genius too

If people think that a fading sizing or some novice is going to live with this horse they are out of their minds or simply not seen this horse race

He was clearly the 2 mile champion chaser elect w/o SS before a fence was jumped before the season so why anything has changed now is beyond me.

Since connections say he is better on soft/heavy Clive????
He's also 1-1 with Captain Conan who picked up an injury at Sandown, and coming round the home turn looked the all over the winner.
Masses in hand my arse, you back him at Cheltenham and I'll lay him !!!!

SDG doesn't need the mud to be flying to show his best form he handles it and doesn't affect his action.
That win yesterday was impressive and his jumping was poetry- I do love it when the classy Chasers cross their forelegs.
I rate him only behind Sprinter Sacre ,who has nothing wrong with his heart. He's been given the 'all clear' so that's not a worry.
SS to beat SDG by 5L

Since when is Hidden Cyclone a Grade 1 two-miler?

Big fan of this yoke as has been evidenced here often enough, but he is not G1 class over 2m. Don't think that should detract from a very smooth performance by SDG though.

Captain Conan simply got outsped at Sandown, and needs further than 2m at the top level.
Sire De Grugy still has to prove he'll stay up the Cheltenham hill, and though it was a scintillating performance yesterday, he had little to beat once Somersby tipped over, and told us next to nothing about his stamina.
