Road to the 2025 Champion Hurdle

Constitution Hill runs on Saturday but Lossiemouth predictably taken out, presumably to ruin at the DRF.

Inkslinger came over from America to do the Champion Chase/Cathcart double in 1973-phenomenal achievement.
The Ryanair should be called the Cathcart.

Anyway, nice of Anzadam to stay at home so Constitution Hill can have one last hurrah before Anzadam humiliates him in the Champion Hurdle, leaving all "The Hill" groupies forming support groups and holding tearful candle-it vigils outside the gates at Seven Barrows.

I don't mind it being called the Ryanair Cathcart Chase - I just think races should have proper permanent titles and not just a sponsor's brand name.

I don't feel THAT strongly about it, though, and if O'Leary would like to bung me a few quid I'll end my campaign over this tonight. #nooneeveroffendedmebyofferingmemoney

Agree 100%-the start of this nonsense over jumps was when Boylesports were allowed to rename the Bula as the International Hurdle.

I agree with all of you.

But on here we still talk about the Hennessy, Mackeson, Massey-Ferguson, Schweppes and Whitbread. Long may our lum reek in that regard.

I think an elite few races have 'protected' names, though.
