Road to the Champion Chase 2011

Not sure I agree with that at all, Steve. Who will BB face in March that he hasn't already cantered all over? Mourad maybe, but that's about it, and he has zero to fear from that one in form terms.

Like I say I'm much happier with Long Run (with a run) at 10s this time. I couldn't back BB ante-post this time.

Aren't we in the wrong thread for this btw?

How would you price up the match bet Mourad and Big Bucks.

I thought Mourad had zero hope.

I said Big Buck's had zero to fear in form terms, rather than Mourad having zero hope. If you're going to ask a question, and then be flippant about the answer you get, either don't bother asking it or get your facts straight.

Maybe you should learn to express yourself better-and take some anger management lessons when you are at it.

He really has, that was his sixth graded case win today including three grade ones. Over 400k euros picked up along the way too. He is a wee bit behind the best, but he is very consistent and must be a lovely horse to own.

Thought he was in serious trouble in the back straight but for a horse not truely blessed with battling qualities he stuck it out very well - Townend was excellent on him finally putting his recent demons behind him.

I think the horse was just a bit fatigued from recent races and just about got away with it. If Rubi Light had not made a hash of the second last, he would most certainly have been closer and Golden Silver should have beaten him very easily on the formbook. He's an admirably consistent horse and will mop up in Ireland where the only horse that can beat him is Zeb. Townend gave him a sensible ride in the circumstances. I'm not sure Golden Silver could go any quicker three out. Bit like Quito yest.

Colm Murphy very bullish about Zeb's condition - would you back him now at 7/2 or wait until we see see him in the Tied Cottage? Surely that will be a stroll for the champ and shouldn't affect his price too much - whereas if there were to be some little blip his price may in fact drift! Did he contract in price after the same race last year Cantoris?

I can only presume that he is 4/5 on account the bookies think the Nicholls yard is out of form but even at 80% he should beat this lot. I'm all over 4/5 it's a gift on all known form personally thought he would be closer to 1/2.

Thought about 2/5 would be the price - no account with VC so had tosettle for 8/11!! Think it's a seriously good bet. Have had three odds on reverses lately so if I get MM beaten then that's me finished with odds on skinny ones.
