Are you convinced VV will get 20f? Only raced once over that trip (2nd to Clarcam). I have always felt VV is short of top class but that is based mainly on 2m form. 20f could be the making of him so you might have a point if he stays the trip.

I am not convinced he'll get 20f but at least he's turning up which is more that can be said of quite a few. Being short of top class is an accusation that could be levelled at most, if not all of these so he just needs to be good enough which he may well be.

Last years race was a grueller and won by an exceptional horse.

conditions were very much against RTR too.

I don't have trip concerns with him

Happy enough with 16's for Sound Investment
Plenty of money around for R2R today, best priced 8-1 and only 4-1 with a run. Guess it's now more like 50/50 he runs here
 
I think that shortening of price was more to do with Smad Place being confirmed for the GC rather than any money for R2R.

I wouldn't sweat it just yet Granger. When he stays on past Vautour in the Irish Gold Cup there's only one place he'll be going.

Mozoltov could be a sneaky ew here at a price.

W P quite happy with his run today; they are building him up slowly getting him fit through his races rather than at home and if he stays injury free could be a prospect.
 
I confess I stuck a cheeky fiver on Mozoltov earlier in the week, eddie.

You can back on Betfair at 60 right now, but I'm afraid all the 330 is gone. :)
 
Discussing some of his runners for Cheltenham, Mullins said on Monday: "Vautour is a Gold Cup runner I'm sure, though I see he is favourite for both the Gold Cup and the Ryanair.

"Vroum Vroum Mag is a possibility for the Ryanair. Mozoltov ran well on Sunday and might run in it too.

"Champagne Fever won't make the Ryanair and Felix Yonger might run in the Champion Chase. Valseur Lido might go to the Gold Cup."

Question WPM at your peril....

He has been adamant the horse needs 3m+, so the Ryanair has never been a realistic option. He wanted to send VL to the RSA last year, and was effectively validated in his opinion with the horses run at Punchestown. Earlier in the season he was touting VL as a possible National horse, so the Gold Cup could be as good a stepping stone to the National as anything.
 
His run at Punchestown validated nothing. Apache Stronghold was done for the season and Wounded Warrior is nowhere near Grade 1 class.

His best form is short of three miles and the Ryanair is wide open.
 
Would be an interesting move. She clearly has looked smart. This would be a bit of a jump in class even if potentially it could look light on paper.
Maybe she will just rise to it.
