I think MDB's Aintree form was very good. I think the trip might be on the sharp side for NP.
Fair enough. I'd prefer NP (who I've got with Tranquil Sea in my TTF), but on balance I won't be backing against Kauto.

I think this horse is a bit overrated due to his running against Denman last season. I don't imagine Kauto will have too many problems with him. Notre Pere may be tougher to beat than MdB.
Surley beating exotic dancer is the most solid grade 1 form going
If KS is on top form - nothing is capable of giving him a big fright in the KG .
Took 2.28 on the machine last night and will lay off half my stake at odds-on tomorrow. As a public horse he'll be monster punted.
Considering how little rain Haydock has actually received compared with what was expected, isn't 5/4 against on Kauto a bit of a steal?
I would have expected him to be 4/9 tomorrow so will have a bet. He seems to have gone fine on soft before and Haydock has missed the worst of the rain.
I thought the same. Fair dues to Nicholls, as often it seems he just has the best horses but it's very difficult i imagine to do what he did, bringing him back to his best. Similar situation now in some ways with Denman.

Denman started off very light last season, so they had nothing to work on. He's bulked up and heavier this season (which is a good thing) as they can work it off of him and see him reproduce his form of two seasons ago.
Has Denman ever run poorly? Or has he only ever run poorly in relation to the rating that he got for beating an under-par Kauto Star?I'm expecting the 'real' Denman to turn up this season.
