The Nicky Henderson Thread

€135 matched at 17 and 17.5, no sign of your bet. Maybe they reformed the market?

If you'd like to put up your account details no doubt someone will look into it.

I've had bets matched at 90, 111 and 125, to the tune of £12 all-in......though judging by Henderson's comments, it seems the World Hurdle is the only race that ISN'T being considered for her!

No real need to at the moment, PJ. It's a marker down, and if it doesn't pan-out, I can have a play nearer the race.

This type of AP bet much more my style, than the Ricci-fest I've backed in my main bets posted on the Ante-Post thread (which I'll update with the Kotkikova speculations).

Cracking race at Uttoxeter yesterday Charbal coming out on top. Still not sure Le Prezien was a great by for JP but give him his due he stuck on well to finish 2nd.

Nicky must have been delighted with Top Notch who came there to take the race but looked to blow up and run out of gas. He is not the biggest but I thought he jumped really well and could have a great future over fences. Daryl Jacob was a bit hard on him in the closing stages but normally he usually finds for a few smacks so no harm done.

Solstice Star showed enough to suggest he'll also be winning soon....not running again today surely?

I think Top Notch will struggle to make an impression over fences.

Jumped sound enough but looks too slight to carry the weights he may have to.

I know there are notable exceptions but a small horse will always have his work cut out over the big stuff.

Can't for the life of me see why he is using Daryl Jacob. Never rated him and the last week he's ruined Might Bite and Lami Serges, plus arguably the last winner if he could use his whip in his right hand. Reckon had Davy Russell been on them all he'd have ridden a treble today.

Jacob is retained by Munir/Souede so Nicky doesn't have a choice for those horses. Still can't get over his ride on Might Bite.

How's that working out for you.........I heard you had 2k on him last time

Can't understand people knocking Daryl Jacobs. After PN he was as low as 13% conversion and has fought back to 22% one of the best in the country and not just for THE SIMON, emma lavelle mounts he's over 20% for her too.

That did look weird on Might Bite.

Apparently he had on his mind he had almost fell over at the last at Ffos Las and he belted the 2nd last when he won at Donnie, felt him slowing and thought it best he woke him up. A great leap at the last he'd have been a hero........wasn't to be.

He did nothing wrong on thse two yesterday IMO L'Amai Serge is becoming a bit of a liability for punters and the other one lost ot to the better horse IMO

I like the horse, but imo he's been campaigned wrongly this year. Exeter was the wrong way round, the Relkeel was too far. Fences on a left hand track will see him to best effect and at a price I'd be interested in him in the QM w/o Douvan market.

Had just read that. Interesting to hear & thankfully something came to light. That run at Kempton was way too bad to be true & the way he hung up the home straight, it was obvious something was causing him pain. I hope they can get it sorted and get another run into him before March. He could still have a hand to play in the Supreme yet.
