Meanwhile Gigilo, this from Rees-Mogg on his LBC show this morning (which I certainly didn't listen to)

"The partiality of the BBC has become clearer and clearer. It is a pro-remain organisation, it regularly has more pro-remain interviewees on its programmes"

Arthritic, tired old Aunty Beeb really can't win can she:confused:

Brian Walden has died. Not without his faults but compared with today's shower, a journalist and interviewer of the highest calibre

The newly formed Brexit Party enjoys more support than Westminster’s major political parties for the European elections only among those over the age of 55, new polling shows.

In a fresh survey for The Independent, BMG pollsters also found the party spearheaded by Nigel Farage will emerge ahead of the established parties on 23 May – despite being formed just weeks ago.

It comes amid growing frustration among Conservative MPs both with Theresa May‘s leadership of the party and the continued Brexit deadlock and the inability of both Labour and Tories to find a resolution in the cross-party negotiations.

Many fear they are heading for a mauling at the hands of Mr Farage’s Brexit Party in the European elections having already suffered the heaviest losses in a generation at the local council elections earlier in the month.

The survey shows that among the 55-64 age range, the party boasts 30 per cent support – significantly above the Conservatives on 8 per cent and Labour on 15 per cent.

In the over-65 category, Mr Farage’s party has 42 per cent while the Tories are on 17 per cent and Labour are on 11 per cent.:lol: thanks older people!!

But in the 18-24 age range, the party has just 6 per cent support while Labour enjoys 38 per cent backing. This increases slightly to 17 per cent among the 35- to 44-year-olds who said they would definitely vote in the European elections.:lol:

Jacob Rees-Mogg claims majority of Tories will back Brexit Party
According to the research – including only those who said they will definitely vote – the Brexit Party enjoys 26 per cent support while Labour is in second place with 22 per cent.

Ms May’s Conservative Party are in fourth place with 12 per cent after being leapfrogged by the Liberal Democrats who are on 19 per cent. The Green Party also hold 10 per cent support.

Commenting on the results, Robert Struthers, the research manager at BMG, said: “The fact that the Brexit Party are out in front on 26 per cent is quite a feat given the new outfit only formed a matter of weeks ago. As it stands, Nigel Farage’s party appears to have largely mopped up the pro-Brexit vote, with our poll showing Ukip attracting just 3 per cent support.

May faces pressure to pull plug on Brexit talks amid lack of progress
“What is also clear is that the Brexit Party’s support is coming largely at the expense of the Conservatives. Indeed, as many of those that reported voting Conservative at the 2017 general election say they intend to vote for the Brexit Party next week as do say they will continue to back Theresa May’s Conservatives.

“While those on the Remain side seem to be more divided, our polling does suggest the Liberal Democrats to be in the strongest position of those parties that unequivocally support another referendum. Following their strong showing at the local elections, the Lib Dems are now polling twice the vote share of that of the Greens, and more than four times that of Change UK.”

Elgin is the largest town in the parliamentary constituency of Moray, which returned a Conservative MP in 2017 with a 13.6% swing from the SNP. It also had the highest 'Leave' percentage (49.9%) of all the Scottish constituencies in the EU referendum; and also voted an above average 57.6% 'No' in the Indyref

So no surprise Swinney was given a hard time

The Moray Firth area north of Aberdeen and round to Inverness is a prosperous, leafy, attractive and genteel part of our Septic Isle that I've enjoyed visiting on several occasions: it has as much in common with the conurbations of the Midland Valley as Tyneside has with the Home Counties

North of Inverkeithing
North of Watford

I read the 50/50 split but again just shows what the BBC are upto, they are so blatent they don't care and as i have said before these constituencys that are in different areas i would expect some slight bias if reearcher has done their jobs but no not the bbc 5 tory coucilliors sitting alongside each other an ex tory mep and they all coincodentally get to ask questions..I have watched every single episode and bar one the audience has been 75%brexit supporting wehter they have chose remain or leave areas the BBC agenda has now been seen through by everyone probrexit/pro tory supporters riddled with it and not even trying to be subtle anymore completely blatent..You would have to a be to the right of tommy robinson to not see the agenda and bias week in week out,the panel are set up every week i even tell my daughter in advance whats going to happen that's how blatent i know its going to be....

Do I though!

It was just nice to see Swinney get shown up for what they are all about.

What are they all about?,the most popular party in the the british isles with biggest mandate than any english party could dream about, that post alone shows your bias towards the snp and your other posts would suggest an english over 50 tory/brexiteer? correct? without even saying it so you probably agree with what the bbc are doing and falls into your agenda...?So transparent, just like the BBC..

er...

2017 Election

Scotland
SNP 59% of the seats 37% of the vote
Con 22% seats 29% vote
Lab 12% seats 27% vote

England
Con 55% seats 45% vote
Lab 43% seats 41% vote

So, seats-wise the SNP do have a slightly better "mandate" in Scotland than the Conservatives do in England but vote-wise a significantly weaker one

Lies, damned lies and First-Past-The-Post

Lol i think the SNP will always consistently have a bigger mandate than any other english party in the present, must also be a chance they could get bigger mandates yet as well, even the BBC can't fake that think its pretty obvious they will always be the most popular party in the british isles for the foreseeable future anyway..Lets be honesrt Nicola sturgeon is completeky different claas unless of course you sre english then you probably make some awful english comment about her same old tripe and talk about farage..

£13,000/month house in Chelsea and £5,000 a month driver and bodyguard.

These are the figures Aron Banks pays Farage who does not declare these sums publicly despite being an MEP with a resposibility to declare his earnings.

Farage also has an ongoing message that he represents the ordinary voter against the 'Elites"

what's more elite than £120,000 a year in accom and perks from a secret political funder?

And the Brexit Prty has banned Ch4 from its rallies for doing the above investigative journalism, they hate the elites especially when its them getting caught out democracy for the working class :lol: the look on his face when told Aaron banks had admitted ti funding him talk about jaw dropping, then panic backtracking, good old nige will do anything for money..

Man of the paypal.....:lol::lol::lol::lol:
