Today's Fancy

Where has OTB come from? I thought he was Hezz under a new username but has he just been pointed in our direction by Del Boy?

Her main concern was that it may detract from her other intervention with him and the good people at "Erectile DIsfunction Ireland".

They do good work.

How did my good wife get dragged into this? Shame on you Del..... Djjohnsons tip was a sound piece of form study but his choice and pick came second (I think - didn't wait for the photo result) ergo everyone who backed the horse does not get paid out - let's all come to terms with this - there are other threads in chit chat where you may get the counciling required to accept the vicisitudes of backing horses - no hard luck stories -should have been closer - Gearoid would have ridden him closer to the pace - he got sand kicked in his face - they went too slow - the wind changed - the cold air made the surface ride too quick etc etc etc - THE HORSE WAS BEATEN fair and square - your sabatical should include a prohibition of even reading this thread never mind posting on it!! By the way where are those Viagra you borrowed??:nono:

Penny Max and Sterling Chief stand out a mile in the Folkestone bumper. One is 2/5, the other is 9/2. I'll grant you Emma Lavelle is red hot at the moment, but Oliver Sherwood has suddenly morphed into a good trainer of bumper horses (3 wins from his last 6 including one at Plumpton yesterday). If The Wellmeadow is genuinely the third best in the race, then the rest must be utterly useless. A free bet e/w, Shirley?

You really don't want them back....sleeping in a tent all weekend...

Noted. Worth a go.

That was truly awful - it was indeed a poor bumper, but I guess that shows the danger of punting on spec.

In hope of redeeming myself, can I suggest that the early birds on here have a look at the price of Hurricane Hymnbook when the market opens on the 7.40 at Kempton tomorrow. Has dropped to 0-70 grade after catching the eye a couple of times for the shrewd Willie Musson. Tomorrow might possibly be the day that the handbrake is let off.

He might be going for a little handicap. The Troytown they call it...

I suggested Glenquest would run a bigger race than his odds of early morning price of 28/1 suggested in the Castlegar chase at Galway. Prices or the Troytown are now available and I have taken some fo the 16/1. Please don't alert the connections that we know what is going on!

Don't Turn Bach, at 3.9 on Betfair, looks a good price in the 2m5f novice hurdle at Warwick today. The second fav, Habbie Simpson, doesn't have the same class of form. Third fav The Old Pretender's form is closer to DTB's standard but he is coming back from a long lay-off and there are doubts about his resolution.

DTB has had an operation to improve his wind but that's almost obligatory for a Nicholls horse.

Hurricane Hymnbrook is becoming to look well handicapped in the next at Nottingham, hasn't been knocked about recently shall we say.

If there's money for it, it will be very interesting. If it's weak in the market, then expect another "ride" like the last three!

The campaign this horse is currently being put through is an absolute disgrace, even his former trainer Stef Higgins has eluded to it on Twitter:

@eddietheshoe cured hurricane's physical probs... But owners had different 'gameplan' to mine. Will win easy 1day!!!

All the 16/1 Glenquest for the Troytown gone now. Still some 14/1 with Powers which wont last too long tomorrow.

Today I welcome with open arms the chance to lay The Bull Hayes at odds on in the 145 at Thurles. In my opinion he was overrated on the flat and lacked consistency.was fairly weak in the market when he made his hurdling debut but finished second despite that.Has to run in proper winter conditions today.
I don't see him being man enough.
