Top Irish Jump Races

Don't get them withdrawing Fastorslow who has won on very soft and ran Corach Rambler to a photo at the Festival in soft.

Not that I would fancy him now the others have had a run but pullin out of such an important race asks questions

Gaelic Warrior absolutely toyed wit them..Little wonder Patrick was fuming at Danny who could have caused a proper accident.

Horse is hanging left and he tries to go up the inside.............poor ride.

Now that sort of clash would be something to savour if they both arrived in the same form as they are currently in!

I did say weeks ago whatever race he goes for at the festival he wins.

Long term he could be a Ryanair horse

Taking on Il est Francais over 3 miles that would be some ask and I seriously doubt that will happen.

Based on pretty-much everything we’ve seen since, Gaelic Warrrior getting beaten off 129 in the juvenile handicap at the Festival, remains one of racing’s enduring mysteries.

Tanlic, bear in mind that GW is a Grade 1 winner over 3m as a novice hurdler. Arkle surely has to be the outsider of the three novice chase targets at the Festival - especially on quicker ground.

Aye, it does. I’ve got him ante-post, but for the wrong race (Brown Advisory) :(

It does look like the Turners which has the same prize money as the Arkle. However as far as 3 miles go there is no way he'll be stepped up to that trip this season and a good chance next season too if he remains unbeaten this season.
Yes he won over 3 miles but Willie must be thinking what happened when he ran Allaho over 3 miles as a young horse. He said he was considering dropping Gaelic Warrior back to the minimum trip but it would seem he's found a distance that suits him perfectly.

My guess is his main targets will be the John Durkan and Ryanair next season,

IN THE MEANTIME: It doesn't look like a good day for betting but there's a Xmas gift waiting to be collected.

If ever there was 2 steering jobs out of rthe Mullins camp it's today

Ballyburn
Stateman

5/4 double l

GW is keeping a few other horses prices very honest isn't he! Especially if he missed the Turners.

Being the muppet that I am, I'm considering having a go at Djelo E/W.

I'd wait till the day.

Djelo is highly unlikely to go for the Turners as he would likely get lumped up with 11st10lbs and get a mere 4 lbs from Gaelic Warrior... I reckon the Grand Annual beckons

Not sure I’m following this, Tanlic. Everything runs off 11-7 in the Turners.

Seems strange to say it about such a young horse with so few runs under his belt, but today feels like a bit of a D-Day for Impaire Et Passe.

I mean…..what do you do with him if he’s beaten by State Man today? They might choose to have another crack at the DRF, but unless he turns the tables round there, it would seem futile to send him up against Constitution Hill in the Champion (which might be futile anyway, even if he does beat State Man).

The window for IET to make up into a Champion Hurdle horse looks fairly narrow to me, and I’ve therefore had a small bet at 16’s for the Stayers, as it’s the only other possible race for him in Cheltenham.
