Top Irish Jump Races

Seems strange to say it about such a young horse with so few runs under his belt, but today feels like a bit of a D-Day for Impaire Et Passe.

I mean…..what do you do with him if he’s beaten by State Man today? They might choose to have another crack at the DRF, but unless he turns the tables round there, it would seem futile to send him up against Constitution Hill in the Champion (which might be futile anyway, even if he does beat State Man).

The window for IET to make up into a Champion Hurdle horse looks fairly narrow to me, and I’ve therefore had a small bet at 16’s for the Stayers, as it’s the only other possible race for him in Cheltenham.

I would think the Stayers would be fav if he gets his ass handed to him on a plate today considering the price of Teahupoo who surely he could reverse places with.

Depending on how easily he is beaten, if he's beaten he could be dropped 2 lbs which would bring in another option puting him on the same mark as Arctic Fire was on when he won the County.

Almost impossible to see Mullins run him as a 6yo with a half-dozen hurdles starts, off top-weight in one of the most competitive handicaps of the season, over a trip that would already have been largely outed as too short for him.

State Man boosted to evens with Bet365. Max £10 unfortunately (not sure if that’s me being restricted)

not with top weight but he did run Artic Fire in the race after only 4 runs as a 5 year old.

Anyway he's going to have to get really trounced not to take his chance in the Champion Hurdle. Don't foget you need to stay more than 2 miles to win one.

Shame Corbetts Cross can’t jump he must have lost a couple of lengths at most of the fences there

Horses can trick you.

I thought impaire was a really good novice, today is do or die.

Maybe he is just a stayer.

These double green horses never end up superstars do they?

No offers available.
You must have annoyed them!!

I lost all concessions etc from them on a previous account, but could still see them, was only when I went to place the bet it would be refused. They have certainly (B365) gotten worse lately.

decent run from him. just not quite the level of State Man.

just how good is Constitution Hill

To beat Constitution Hill

Patrick will need to ride State Man and inform Nico he is not go up his right or left

lol

Surely Danny Mullins has every right to go for the gap Patrick left. Unlike Patrick who has no right to tell Danny not to or does he just expect to be allowed to win as the son rather than the nephew

Patrick learned the valuable lesson of never telling people what you really think

as I said earlier he'll go Champion Hurdle..Simon Munir & Isaac Souede will proably fancy getting closer to State Man on the stiffer course

Getting “closer to State Man” means fu*ck-all if they’re both trailing-in a dozen lengths behind the winner.

Patrick is Assistant Trainer and as Willie was in Leopardstown, he was well within his rights to instruct the jockeys. His only mistake was airing it all in public. Emotions got the better of him.
