TV coverage

I thought hayley Turner was very good at chester. Jason weaver very good also. The rest a meh for me. Too many state the obvious. Jason's rundown of Ryan Moore was spot on. Moore was sublime at chester and weaver gave good commentary of how he positioned himself every time and his minimal use of the whip. Very helpful for the not so engaged punter.

I find it very difficult to understand how people who proudly have the ignore/mute button fully depressed in the on position can have any views on this topic 🤔

I think the actual fact that they have race ridden is the biggest factor plus the media training is noticeable as they grow in confidence. and actually
Here's my run-down of those on mainstream:
Jason - superb and actually puts his tips forward and they win!
Hayley - growing on me as she does more
Cumani - was a "steering job" amateur on good things before anyone suggests she was also a jockey and I do not feel she adds anything bar eye candy, Australian obsession and fashion promotion.
Adele Mulrennan - think her input especially beforehand is excellent.
Ruby Walsh - is superb on his analysis of races too.
Leonna - OK
Mick Fitz - bearable but has a Hendo bias
Luke - I don't mind but I do get why he grates
Matt - at least he will challenge the controversial points although he's not likeable
Kevin Blake - I do rate his opinions highly and feel he's worth listening to
Chamberlain - well there has to be an anchor but he irritates and I really want to pull that middle tooth out
Oli - so so and a fair anchor when needed
Rishi - has improved way beyond what I thought he could and I don't mind him now
Ken - I hit the mute button - telling everyone the favourite looks good is not a job!

I've previously watched something then used the mute button, can't think of any instance when I started watcing something for the first time with the mute button on.

Not a bad synopsis.

Looking at the ITV regulars its interesting that nearly all of them who are on social media rarely promote the sport. The girls seem to only promote the clothing brands that they are wearing which is not a good look

Very interesting perspective.A work colleague of mine is married to a Cheltenham festival winning trainer-and back in the day they would do Come Dine With Me with a few more household names in Irish racing. The First and only rule was that you couldn't talk about anything apart from racing -I love that passion.

To me as well and something I don't engage in in the slightest. Was in spoons in chester before going to last meetings and 3 young ladies spent the entire time making vids and taking photos. What the actual f as my son would say. Utterly soulless existence. Millions live their lives online. Tragic to my eyes.

Couldn't agree more.

Looking at that list reminds me of that age old question
"How many tv racing presenters would it take to change a light bulb ?"
One at the switch, one at the foot of the step ladder, one at a ladder beside the one changing the light bulb, one to interview immediately after the bulb is changed, one in the video booth to review the event, the list goes on if you include fashion, the bookies ring, the stable forum online thingy not to mention support staff .
Mind boggling.

Luck on Sunday this morning had an interview with Kia Jorabachian where he made very serious allegations against a leading trainer and jockey.Well worth a watch on YouTube.
