TV coverage

She's bloody annoying with her obvious bias to her favorites. Just do yer job hen. Cesca just as bad. Adele much more balanced and a lovely lady as well. Watch and learn ladies.🤣

Can you imagine what these poor presenters, pundits must think if reading some of this stuff on here.

What a bunch of facking tw8ts! :machinegunner:

I think some of the ladies lack self awareness,as do a lot of the gents before I'm accused of lady bashing. Adele gets the balance just right. Very knowledgeable but not preachy. Her take on last years Derby superb. Ken could learn from her too tbh as she spots things he doesn't. She obviously loves the horses.

Race was over 4f out. As lordan said he was rolling from Tottenham corner and was staying on strongly. Btw Kevin Blake tipped the tricast. Not all dummies on there

This isn't really regarding TV coverage, but is related and didn't want to start a new thread.

I've had this issue for quite some time now with ATR online replay streams. Usually this is what happens...
Click to watch replay, video doesn't load up.
Click again to watch replay, video loads and starts playing. I have to pause at the start of race to allow a bit of buffering. Then it almost always stops when they get to around 1 - 1.5F out, so I usually just leave it paused at the start until most of it has streamed in.
Click on replay again and this time it buffers in really quickly and plays the whole race.

I have a kind of workaround, as I can use the TAB website in Australia, but they only show UK racing replays until 7:30pm UK time, so a 7:35 race isn't put in the archive. The other downside is if I've got a bet on and use the TAB to watch the race, the results pop up alongside the video play button, which takes the fun out of watching my selection run.

Anyway, I waffle. Does anyone else have this issue with ATR online replay streams? I just don't understand why it stops almost everytime.

The first part is the same for me. When I click on the replay I get a blank screen so I go back and do it again and it comes up.

But after that I don't get any of those buffering issues.

Thanks Maurice, pleased it not 'all' just me. I've tried 3 different internet conections and 4 different computers, but always the same thing. RTV streams in perfectly in higher definition, as does everything else. Have turned adblocker off and other things, but nothing makes it work correctly. Guess I'll just have to live with it.

The RTV pictures on my TV via the fire stick they supplied me with are awful.

They're fine on my laptop.

I told RTV and their reply was that I should take the matter up with the fire stick people, that it was nothing to do with them.

Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes that can make a difference.

Actually, I haven't, despite trying every other option. Have been using google chrome. I'm not sure which one I should try. I guess edge is forced upon me, so will try that. Thanks for the suggestion, Grey.

EDIT - Just tried MS Edge and it was worse. The 365 advert even stuttered and then it fully stopped half way through race, normally it's the last 20 - 25%.
Though It did load up first time, so that may be a win for you, Maurice.

It must be a UK to Australia thing. Usually OK with video streams though, but I did notice the difference in downloading racing data when I was last in UK. It was a lot quicker when there compared to here, almost instant in comparsion. My internet if fast enough, but that buffering is akin to the old 512MB broadband, so must be something inbetween, maybe bounces from one Country to another or something enroute. Only site I have an issue with.

Ed Chamberlain is now I have decided an obnoxious tw*t. He fawns over so many people - yesterday he wet his pants over Chesney Hawkes - today it's Nigel Havers.
