What are you backing Today? Part 2

I’ve been waiting impatiently to see Nostrum, 3:00 Newmarket, again since his debut run at Sandown was very impressive, particularly since SirMS first time winners are thin on the ground. The opposition here are no slouches and it’s a case of favouring potential over proven ability. It’s no surprise that Nostrum has drifted to 9/4 third favourite from last nights 13/8 favourite. I’ll watch with interest, but probably won’t be able to resist a small tickle.

Cosy, BJ - was 20's for the Dewhurst, earlier.

I'll be absolutely shocked as will a very old friend if Commissioning 7/2 on the machine is beaten in the Rockfell

He seemed more concerned about Dance in the Grass bouncing back than the Irish horse.
I wasn't going to have a bet but he convinced not to miss this filly.

However at the end of the day we make our own choices so on my head be it. g/l

Good shout BJ not easy to catch a SMS young one they all look good and easily fool you to thinking they are better then they are
but this one looks like the real deal

Nice one, tan.

Thanks and your welcome.

Strange story behind this. My friend who is high up in the pecking list at Gosdens and I were actually discussing Doom
from William Haggas's yard and he said just as well they are not coming here as nothing will beat ours today.

I never ever ask him for tips but when he said he was having a go????? He's not one for throwing his money about.

Apart from backing her on the machine I asked my brother to back her for me and have a bet himself back in Scotland.

They took the best but at SP then closed his account......bastards don't deserve to be in the game.

To keep the ball rolling I am happy to take on the Chevely Park fav. Meditate.

She was beaten far too easily last time to think she's some sort of good thing today and once the bubble is burst it often continues.

An EW bet on Lezoo 17/2 Betfair Sportsbook 1/4 odds looks a safer bet

I've spent all year moaning about the blue blood Godolphin boys farming the handicaps but I did add Electrical Storm to my Cambs possie on Jimi Hendrix last night when he was 27 on the machine. I have a nice price on the Beckett horse (20s). Both win only.

I backed Noble Dynasty in the Golden Mile and fear him today but Zainalarab was so tracker worthy at Sandown and I can forgive his run at Donny when he was poorly away in a slowly run race (front two stayed in those positions throughout). Interesting that Crowley rides The Attorney rather than the selection but maybe he struggles to do 8-8? He wasn't on at Sandown either.

The 2.05 at Haydock looks really competitive but I've gone with Harrow who is on a nice looking mark now.

GL Euro. Electrical Storm sems quite popular in the media, though I'm more than happy I took 10's on Mujtaba -draw and pace will play its part, but still think he has a favourite's chance.

I've kept an eye on the Bowen family since the early days of Roddy's involvement and done reasonably well. Usually Market Rasen is a happy hunting ground for both trainer and his sons. Two opportunities today both could deliver

Tan strikes again.thanks.

I will take Hamaki on with Majestic.

This one's been slowly progressing running consistently well all along and hopefully he'll be fine over this new trip of 10F tomorrow. I think Rob Hornby is a good jockey booking and Majestic could go close here probably from right up with the pace. Hoping for a good run for my money. Fingers crossed.
I couldn't have him today after last week.

Funny old game eh.

New Pursuit 4:30 Epsom. CD winner on seasonal opener with wonderboy Benoit up and back to that sort of form last time at Windsor after a couple of iffy runs. Held up and finished quite strongly racing wide from 2 out at Windsor and was just held into second. 7/2 atm and Benoit aboard again. Only betting small at this stage of the season, though.

W 2/1 in the end
