Saved by the 4th place of Cover Up ( 18/1 BOG ) .... the two shorter price picks in the acca were unplaced. Onwards & upwards !
 
Form of Alan King stable?
Not had a winner for a couple of weeks now and several fancied horses running below par recently.
Not sure what they've got lined up for Cheltenham, but worrying nonetheless.
 
Bet365 doing a 25% winnings bonus on the 16.02 Leopardstown. Tyre Kicker for me in this race with his run at Windsor looking decent form behind Hasthing who ran well in a G3 next time. 1lb wrong but hopefully negated by the jockey’s claim. 6/1 looks a decent price

George’s Lad won with any amount in hand last time out and the runner-up has won easily since. The form of GL’s earlier 2nd behind Vanderpoel has also worked out well barring that one’s abysmal effort at Kelso which clearly wasn’t his running (he was a well backed 6/1). An 11lb rise for my selection isn’t ideal but I’m hopeful he can defy that. 5/1 looks fair

Sandown 3.35
Goshen has been running well in better races and can take this drop in class with the handicapper having taken a chance dropping him 3lb. He’s far from the most reliable though and could just as easily be PU

Afadil has nearly halved in price and TKB is going the other way! Ho hum, we'll see.

2:25 Sandown - Lump Sum, Bo Zenith, Big Ginge ( all e/w, small stakes plus 50p combination forecasts). Did Lump Sum at Newbury last month, have always favoured Nicky Henderson in 2 mile handicap hurdles, and I had something on Splash of Ginge at a big price in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury around 10 years ago. Also an e/w bet on We're Red and Blue which I hadn't heard of until looking through Desert Orchid's research on this race.

Watching the rugby when this race has concluded.
 
Does anyone have an opinion on the form of the Nicky Henderson stable?
Only I winner from.his last 16 runners in the last fortnight.
I know these things can turn around quickly ,but with the biggest event in the n/h season tomorrow all eyes will be on his early runners and how they perform.

Odds on fav More Coko appears to only have to jump around to win, I'm not entirely convinced by the second fav though for second spot - Old Cowboy ....... so have backed the following

For a Top 2 finish , with only five in the race I'm hoping it's a rewarding play ...... staggering the staking - with more on at 12's than the 22/1
