What are you backing Today? Part 2

I must have mentioned Atrium half a dozen times the past year on here.

It all started at Donny when he won at the backend of last season. I was putting him up for races like the Cambridgeshire and Balmoral after that, (didn't make the cut).

So onto to this season it went. I fancied him first time up in the Lincoln, then was a bit disappointing apart from one run at Ascot when 9th in a huge field.. and dead heated in a class 3 back at Donny.

Then runs two awful runs but wins today.. Obviously when I couldn't bring myself to back him.

One or two backed him though, including someone on the Sporting Life. Fair play to them. I think a few of us might need a bit of time to stop choking on our own vomit though.

If you don't hear from me for a while, it might be because I have well and truly choked on my own vomit. Haha.

I have a strong fancy in that big handicap at Ascot but those fvcking O'Meara bandits are annoying the sh1t out of me. Ridiculous prices [now] given their form this season, maybe not so much Rhoscolyn but certainly the other two.

The form book doesn't help, given its remark about Orbaan's last run:

"...with cheekpieces added, came from well back to snatch fifth, a run that suggests he may be able to end his drought in the coming weeks."

Loosely translated: not off an inch and prepping for something bigger down the line.

It might be today. Is there another 7f/8f mega hcap back here soon?

And the same owners have Pearle D'or [sic] in the race, wearing the first colours, form figures 692131 and carrying a penalty. Price 18/1.

Orbaan Balmoral 2 weeks time

Haha. Good to see you still about mate. I thought Covid may have got the better of you.

Watch out for old Pogo on Friday if he runs at Newmarket.

...... Marhaba the Champ who I do respect but he seems to be a York specialist. Also backed Chriszoff at Pontefract.

I'd wish you luck, but I've already taken 4/1 Marhaba in 2 books.
May the best horse win.:)

Marhaba entered up at York on Saturday. He was last at Newmarket and the excuse given was he ran too free which is feasible but I still think he's a York horse and he's 12/1 for this. No jockey booked but Kevin has multiple entries that day at York and it's the same with all of them.

Satin 3.35Nm
Won a hot Leopardstown h'cap cosy, latest and should handle any deterioration in the ground.
12/1 4pl B365.

Respendant Grey was giving away a lot of weight at Perth to a fair field but won easily. He goes for the Persian War with a very good EW chance so I am taking 6/4 about him being placed.
