What are you backing Today? Part 2

Charles Byrnes sends two to Huntingdon Let Him B 12.28 and Victory Star 2.58
Just saying....
And I Started A Joke in the Champion Bumper which doesn't look one to pick on form. Let Him B ( 5th of 14 last run, 80/1) - trainer said gelding is an awkward ride, made a bad mistake at the first and changed his legs twice in the straight.

Monviel 1.50 Uttoxeter tomorrow 33/1 bet 365
Finished 2nd in this race last year off 10lbs higher.
Had run poorly this season ,but the cherkpieces go back on hopefully signalling a return to form.
Don't think the 33s will last its already being shortened by other firms.

Chasingoutheblues 2.25 uttox 9/1
The form of his 3rd last time out is strong with the 2nd winning the coral cup earlier in the week.
Came here to say exactly this! The winner from that race ran very decently in the Pertemps too. Even the 5th was midfield in the Martin Pipe today. Off 119 he should have a serious chance, although it's a very competitive race.

Blenkinsopp 150 uttox 2nd run back after a lay off market might tell us more but Hugh Nugent claims 3.
225 Uttoxeter I've done 2.ive joined the 2 above plus I have to back joyeax machin Considering it was my Cheltenham banker and didn't run.shows what I know.Skelton did say 3 m would suit better.
52 grand to the winner so worth winnings.

Uttox 1.50 Jilaijone 8-1, 2.25 Chasingouttheblues 9-1, 3.00 Bodhisattva 18-1

3.35 Minella Blueway 9-1

Kem 2.45 Double Powerful 11-2, 3.20 Bashers Reflection 11-1

New 2.35 Prince Nino 12-1

(all e.w)

Good 3rd for Blenkinsopp 25/1
But joyeax really hurt.

I had a couple of nice results on the dogs on Saturday evening, (no pun intended), so after a tricky Cheltenham I've got a healthy boost of ammunition to fire at the Irish Lincolnshire tomorrow.

I think it's not unreasonable to be backing at least two horses in a race like this.

So I'll be punting Independent Expert and Fort Vega.

The former was third in an Irish Cambrideshire, has won on heavy ground aswell, and would appear to act on any ground actually. I hate it when someone agrees with me, but that's okay, because not many do anyway, but I see the person(s) doing the Oddschecker verdict also rates it's chance.

Independent Expert has changed trainer, so you just take it on trust he'll be ready tomorrow. The price more than makes up for any doubt I have, and I'll pay my money, take the chance. Nothing new here then.

The other one I need some ammo on is Fort Vega. I have long watched out for horses who are aimed at these prestigious handicaps, either in England or Ireland, who have had the old gelding operation in the not too recent past. Doesnt always work, this method, but sometimes it does, and I've a feeling Fort Vega will run a better race tomorrow.

On form Fort Vega should be a 33s chance at a bare minimum so that's what I'll be hoping to back it at tomorrow.

Another bet for myself tomorrow on what will be an unusually busy Sunday, is Wot You Wearing in Chepstow's 3.02.

He's priced up at around 16s on recent form over hurdles, and recent form isn't too clever, so the big price is partly understandable.

However, he does have some nice form at Chepstow, including two wins over hurdles. I should know, as I put him up as a Nap on this very thread on one of those days.

This is his second run after a wind operation. You know what they say about that too. Also, the trainer is a canny operator isn't he. He trained the 150/1 fourth placer in the Cheltenham Festival Bumper a few days ago. He's doing really well with the string that he has.

Let's hope he knows the time of the day with Wot You Wearing, because I'm prepared to speculate it can show improved form here.

6th and 7th in the end they finished.

I've been watching the Cup Final today, but will check my slip tomorrow.

I'm hoping Hills might have paid each way on the 6th placer.

Skybet went 7 places, but I know Hills wouldn't in the shops. If they went 6 places in the shops I'd settle for that though.
