What are you backing Today? Part 2

The drift on Bedouin Prince was amazing.
Was as short as 4/9 this morning
Opened 4/5 on course and drifted out to 7/4.
I couldn't believe the sp.
James Doyle gave it a very canny ride.

I like Trilby.

He won first time out last year, ran some nice races, including a good 7th in the Ayr Bronze Cup, and given he's won on both soft and good ground, the good to soft today might be perfect for him.

Let's hope one of us lands the winner Reet, on recent form it won't be me!

Your fella has some good form, all on soft though, so it might be a case of the ground being soft enough for him?

Yes, I await the comments in running with interest.

Trilby's should read "barged right upon leaving the stalls, and repeatedly denied a clear run until the final 100 yards."

Well done Yorick by the way, don't let us spoil your party!
The RP comments as follows; "Dwelt start, towards rear, bit short of room 2f out, never on terms (jockey said gelding was denied a clear run approaching final furlong."

I thought Fanning was denied a clear run pretty much the entire race, I just don't think his jockey wants to admit this because it doesn't show him a great light, or rather, it wasn't his finest moment.

Onwards and upwards.

Another one for the tracker then...

First 3 drawn 5-4-2 -w ith the winner leading the charge.

I'm very confident Nicky Henderson will win 3 races on day 1 at Aintree. Plus according to him their participation is cast in stone
Lulamba Constitution Hill and Jonbon pays 5/1 get on lads

I backed Mairis Icon last night ew @ 10/1. It's been backed into 5/2 this morning . I don't know how anybody else feels about 'gambles' like this but, for me , they invariably spell loser, with only a few exceptions in my experience. Others like to see them. So, It's backed already but it's made me less confident, weirdly.

I find if I'm on them by chance I too feel less confident yet strangely if I've backed something against a huge gamble I think they are then certain to beat mine :)

Hope that one does the business for you Yorick.

And there you go: 2nd.

Nothing lost on my ew bet so shouldn't grumble. :sneaky:
