Going for Emulating in the 4.15 Kempton to steady the ship today. Think he has an outstanding chance...7/4 is getting a bit skimpy now though.

Mmmm.......... Graham Lee travels from Lingield to Kempton; apparently to ride Jodies Jem, a horse he won on lto. The way it's drifting, might just be worth an ew saver.

Good picking Reet...I am having a monumentally bad week's punting.

A bit of after timing but had a little yankee Jodie's gem, ningara, swansea beat middlesboro- half time/full time and threw raise the beat in as I couldn't bare not putting it in!

Had a bet on Venir Rouge in this next race at Taunton at 21 on betfair. Reckon he'll go well in the first time visors, definately not a total slow boat having won a few flat races. Soft ground the only slight concern.

Well done Reet with Jodies Gem.

I'm sure the auditors would tell me to avoid claimers and staying races if they inspected my books, but I've backed Not Rigg at 4.2 in the 4.00.

Not Rigg and the other fav, Isshegointoeatit are actually up for the same price and I'd imagine there would be more interest in the latter, being a filly and already with a win. The trainer also has a decent formline with Not Rigg, having trained the winner of the latter division he ran in at Wolver.

Not Rigg's best run came on his only try at today's 6f and anything near that performance would be good enough. The fact they haven't even attempted a nursery off 70 is a slight concern but the owners stats in claimers is an impressive 4/13.

The owner tends to get rid of anything moderate quickly.

Trainer in excellent form.

The fact Spencer rides mine against De Sousa on the fav does worry me.

Pocket talking but JS does it again :(

Riding a moderate horse and puts it 6 lengths back in last. Winner leads from start to finish.

Add " Don't touch Spencer rides" to auditor reports.

Unlucky mate, I am getting increasingly concerned how many jockeys seem to be using the 'hold up' tactics. It is frustrating when they come out of the stalls and kept near the back and have to go the long way round everything or pray for a gap. I was on the thecockneycowboy yesterday for it's treble and despite being in stall one the jock held it up so it was out back, had to go the long way round the bend and finished a few lengths back. Dettori and Spencer seem to be the main jockeys he made this fashionable, the problem is they seem to use this tactic all the time even when the horse they have underneath them doesn't have the turn of foot or they just give themselves too much to do. At least get out of the gates and put yourself in a decent position for the final bend. Grrrrrr

I'm on Poetic dancer tonight in the second to last race, down in class and in the weights and fancy it to beat the horses it is up against. I have been backing Webbow (in the same race) for years as that is the nickname of a friend but there is no way it should be that short a price, still above it's last winning mark. Was on Kingscroft's last win but don't think it can win in this class off that mark these days either.

Only one race at Cheltenham tomorrow where I think a bet is to be had.

Cheltenham 1:20 - A competative handicap hurdle where I like the chances ofTrip The Light who improved markedly last time when appreciating the fitting of blinkers. He races with another light weight again, and I get the impression he could be rated in the mid 120's before too long. The trainer must have a small string based on amount of runners, but scored with his last runner at a big price: That's always nice to know! This one will be happy on decent ground and you'd have to think if he was with a fasionable yard he'd be a lot shorter. Open Day and Dark Lover also look likely winners but it's very open and I'll take Trip The Light to show up well .:) A bit of market support wouldn't go amiss though confidence-wise.

One bet for me today - 15.40 Cheltenham Eduard
Absolutely hosed up last time, up in class today but won’t mind the probable soft ground and very much worth taking a chance at 9/2

melodic rendezvous in the 15.40 for me good form in Irish heavy ground Grp 1 bumper both winner and third have franked the form astute trainer gave a good write up for thisd horse in stable tour he may be better over 20f but hopefully the ground will negate that

Well done PR - slightly gutted as had Outlaw Pete, Fishers Cross and Royal Boy in a trixie and a yankee but put a few quid on your say so as a saver. Made a tidy profit anyway.

Cheers

ANyone get anything at Dundalk tonight - dare I say Copper Dock running again!?!?!?
