What are you backing Today?

I've used one of my Paddy Power free bets on Buthelezi in the last. COME ON.

Wondering if this Thurayaat is worth laying at short odds, sire stats are pretty poor on AW and would be even worse w/o Handsome Stranger winning twice this year.

WAAHEB looks solid value in the Coral Cup at 20's, could go off a bit shorter I think.

Enjoyed the first time cheekpieces last time, wears them again, has a bit of form with Jezki from a couple seasons ago, also like him a big purchase buy for his owner a while back I beleive.

Big price.

Romantic Bliss 8.45 Wolver.

Think this horse has a very good chance tonight, thought it ran well on its 1st outing at Southwell lto finished just behind its stablemate Cascadia who won on its next visit there. However it was its previous run over tonights C/D that really caught the eye when running on very strongly in the final furlong to get within 1 length of El Duque. That horse ran very well from an 11lb higher mark in a h'cap btn just 1 length nto, the horse back in 5th Black Vale has also won since. Took 6/1 last night but 9/2 still available

I have one bet only today and that's Definitly Red in the Bumper. I have various bets at 25/1 and will probably back him again today as well. This is a proper horse that has won both his bumpers and a point to point and was unlucky not to win another PTP, I believe. His Listed bumper win at Newbury has turned out to be decent form, he beat some fair animals there for sure and both his wins have come in bottomless ground. He should definitely improve for the better ground, so I'd expect him to be thereabouts today. Surely he'd be a far shorter price with a more fashionable trainer but I'm not complaining about that and I believe Irish Stamp is keen on this horse too and he's the man to know about ex-pointers, so that's no bad thing. Come on Red let's make this a great day.

Royal Boy n/r in the first...lame excuse...more like the ground

Can't find my post now, but backalong I mentioned that horses with first time headgear show quite a profit this century at the Festival.

Western Warhorse 33-1 was one such animal today  May pay to keep an eye open for anymore.

Jezki in a hood next!

This thread has surpassed the 300,000 views- barrier today. Well done to all who have kept contributing. I see Doomster has gone on a sabbatical, hope to see him here again, but I'll probably be going for one myself for the forthcoming flat season - not worth the bother betting wise.

All losers today but +34 points on the week to one point level stake

Is Quartz de Thai the only one tomorrow? I've been checking it out all week; it'll save me having to go through the tomorrows cards. Annoyingly I didn't back Western Warhorse yesterday even though I usually make a point of backing outsiders [never thought the Arkle would throw up a winner like that].
