Here's a couple to watch out for and back, (in some better flat handicaps than that Newcastle race 10 minutes ago), at Musselburgh on Saturday, for anyone interested.

The Royal handicap - MISS BAR BEACH. Good form in group and listed races last season, and taken not only to prove much better than her current mark of 94 this term, but also go close in this handicap on Saturday. She's 16/1, which is an each way price, but she won't be this price if she runs. I guarantee you that. She'll finish fast and late at the business end of the race, won't be very far away either.

The Queens Handicap - Andrew Balding's NIGHT OF GLORY is the horse to be on. This will run off a weight towards the bottom of the handicap, but according to my calculations has a major chance. This could start favourite, but is currently 10/1 (in a place) in the anti-post betting. I'm really trying to exploit the anti-post betting on flat handicaps this season.

These two horses ARE good investments imvho, (as long as they're declared at Thursday lunchtime!.)

I'm taking it easy until Saturday, unless I spot anymore good things on the jumps which is unlikely!

Nice one TC! Thanks Chef and Viking.

Fwiw, the 16/1 looks the value bet on Benny's Girl in Herefords 3:45 tomorrow. She could potentially be very well handicapped. She has lots of point-to -point form on soft ground which she will encounter tomorrow.

One of her best efforts was at Hereford on 26th March last year, when a length back in third behind tomorrows second favourite, Easter In Paris. Benny's Girl is six pound better off tomorrow if you include the 7 pound claimer, I just hope the near-200 day break has done her good. Mrs Burbridge could well be the good thing at 6/4, but I'm looking elsewhere for the right bet. Benny's Girl at 16's with the nine runners looks good each way value.

WOW! didn't see this but what a great call. You are on fire Marble.

Do not discount the old boy in Wetherby's 3:40 tomorrow! :)

TAP NIGHT is a horse we've all seen before. He has a good strike rate over hurdles (4/25) which covers the duration of about five seasons. Some of those wins were graded hurdles. He'll love the soft/heavy ground. He's had a break which can do him good. The new headgear, (Tongue-tie / Cheekpieces) can also work the magic. The claimer Blair Campbell takes off some weight which can't be bad. He's not the strongest selection I've ever put up, (due to the nature of this low-grade affair), but I reckon he can win, which is the main thing. The 10/1 should be taken.

It's Xmas for AW fans this weekend with 2 great cards on Friday, and the Roseberry meeting Saturday. A couple of early punts:
Mountain Bell (2.00L) has just 2 AW runs to her credit, but did enough when winning at Newcastle to qualify for this. With improvement expected, Laddies' 5/1 looks an outstanding price.
In the sprint (2.00L) Kachy has an obvious chance, but, with pace assured, I'll take him on with Intisaab (ew 10/1 B365) who spotted him a 5l lead last time, and should shape better in this smaller field.

JP's It's Only a Number traveled well for along way without ever being really stoked up by Luke Dempsey who barely touched the horse in the closing stages.

He did do a nice whip change going to the last but only for show as he never used the thing.
Although he couldn't have won it looked very much like keeping him for another day and an easy to spot note book entry

It's Only a Number was 8/1 on the machine for small money but now 11/4

Both declared. Reckon Night Of Glory will be vying for favouritism come race time.

You've all been warned, no excuses!

Night of Glory was entered in the Fred Winter at the festival and was tipped up at quite a few preview nights. From memory I think he could have got in but didn't run due to the testing ground (maybe I'm wrong and he just didn't get in?). Anyway, Will the ground on Saturday be good enough for him to be seen to best effect?

I want Gossiping on side in Baths 4:00 tomorrow on Easter Friday. He caught my eye last season when beating a horse I fancied at Goodwood one day called The Warrior. Gossiping was upped in class afterwards in races like The Bunbury and International but it wasn't meant to be. I'll chance him tomorrow on soft ground as he's dropped to a lovely mark to kick off the turf season. I'm not sure what price I'm looking at yet win or each way.

Apologies as I haven't got time really to do in depth posts atm but I have two fairly Strong fancies for the aw championships in the 1.30 I like Silent Echo and in the 3.05 I'm on Intisaab two decent singles and an Ew double on the pair.

In the first race I've also had a saver on Mythical Madness who is interesting dropped back in trip. I've took 40/1 in the 4 place market and 22/1 in the 6 place market with BFSB. There is a chance judging by the exchanges that he'll go 50's tomorrow but I'm going to be a bit tied up over the weekend and I'm happy enough with the price I've got.

All the best over the Easter period lads.

Haven't been paying much attention of late cracking shout on Bennys girl Marble I'd missed that apologies if I'd missed any more winners.

Just noticed Reet had put up Intisaab already for tomorrow glad to see an all weather judge agreeing with my own opinion as usually I'm a bit dodgy in this sphere but basically what he said is how I viewed it.

Worth watching the replay of silent echo's Lto performance Fwiw.

Cheers Danny, good to see life on this thread!

Gossiping about 20's on the early show.

I dunno, I do feel he's on a good mark but maybe with the ground on the soft side he'll need the run.

Who knows. Good luck with yours Danny and Reet.

Gonna try to be shrewd and swerve Gossiping until another day on better ground. Heavy ground forecast at Bath with an inspection at 7:30am tomorrow.

Interested to see if the Irish raider, Master Speaker, is well handicapped enough to win the first at Lingfield. He's up against a proven good all weather horse in War Glory, who there's been good early money for tonight. I can't see War Glory out the first three. He gets my vote.

I don’t normally bet on AW but I enjoy this meeting and I’ll be there again today. Intisaab makes or breaks my day. I took 10/1 e/w yesterday and think he’s a great e/w bet with the dead 8 runners. I see he’s been flagged up a couple of times in today’s RP so I’d be surprised if that price stands.

I’ve gone for Silent Echo e/w and a saver on Wahash at 9/1 in the first (money has come for this one overnight) but best of luck with yours Martin.

I'm against you guys on Intisaab. The O'Meara stable form is very poor at the moment. I see the each way case for him but I have to overlook him until the stable show a turnaround of no winners in nearly 100 runners over the last three months.

Kachy has the form in the book against virtually all the field, and whilst 5/2 isn't going to make me rich I expected him to be shorter. I've also got him doubled with Second Thought at 5/4 who looks the most obvious winner on the card. Both are shorter now and there seems to be plenty of money for them.

Newcastle 2:45 I like Sir Reginald Brown, who won first time out last season. 72 is a fair mark to start off but we'll see what happens.

Looking forward to these.

I've got some interest at the World Cup meeting today. I've got the last leg of a multi-sport Acca running on to West Coast in the big race that might be a bit of a nail-biter. I've considered cashing out but I'm pretty convinced he'll win. If any of you guys have an alternate view I'd like to hear it as I could still be pursuaded otherwise.

The other two bets I've got at the meeting are an ew trixie on Rayya in the Derby, Dal Harald in the Gold Cup, and Hawkbill on the Classic. I also have a straight win treble on Blue Point in the Sprint, Cloth Of Stars in the Classic, and West Coast in the World Cup.

I may add a bet or two and I know a few here usually have some interest in this meeting, so any firm fancies on the card?

8.45 Chelmsford - Deeds Not Words - 9/1.

This one is back down to 58 and no doubt ready to come back to form. Well drawn tonight. Runs Chelmsford pretty well and if he can get away on terms tonight he should be bang there at the end for a rider who can do no better at the moment.

3.00 Musselburgh - Breaking Records 12/1

Good comeback run a couple of weeks ago at Chelmsford and I think this one could be overpriced in what is admittedly a wide open handicap for the 3yo. There's a couple in here that I'm looking at for tracker purposes but I'm thinking the selection could make race fitness count after making the trip up from Newmarket.

4.25 Haydock - Fingerontheswitch 11/1

Easy case here. This horse has slipped to a workable mark. Gets in a mega competitive handicap hurdle off a nice low weight and with the assistance of a good conditional. Some of the others in the field have been making may in the qualifiers and I'm just hoping the selection has crept in under the radar. That said he's fairly exposed and will need something like a career best.

Good luck with your bets.
