Probably a stupid punt but Diamond Vine today at Wolverhampton peaks my interest. So far down the weights and has been running closer than placings suggest recently. I backed it last week when Probert stayed on and was backed from 25s into 12s. Finished a few lengths back but had to come from the rear and doesn't quite have the legs. Morris up today and if finds a better position from the start looks like a decent each way bet at the price.

All selections ran decent races on Saturday. Red Spinner had competition for the lead at Wetherby and only faded from two out, eventually finishing fifth. Both Gonalston Cloud (2nd) and Traditional Dancer (3rd) may have finished closer in their respective races at Musselburgh but for late jumping errors. Gonalston Cloud met two of the last four fences wrong and Traditional Dancer made a momentum stopping mistake four from home when travelling well. The day ended in profit when our three Sandown selections gave us a return. Loose Chips was all heart from the front and only found one too strong for him. Lord Of The Island and Another Venture went one better, both winning well.

One more winner or Red Spinner placing would have seen me make a massive profit, as I did a few big e/w accas and Lucky 15s. Still, decent profit.

Carlisle 4:30 Bigirononhiship refused to race last time, but is still inexperienced so I can forgive the horse for that. He was second to Calett Mad on Fighting Fifth Day at Newcastle giving the NTD horse three pound. Calett Mad is rated 148 now, so 124 is a nice mark for Bigirononhiship to take advantage. He should be fine on forecast soft going.

My tracker has just notified me of 'Bags Groove' running in the 2.20 at Hunts.

It's rare for me to be tracking a horse so it must have done something impressive.

Not sure I fancy it against Messire Des Obeaux so I've smashed them both in a forecast.

Bit of a gamble on Broughtons Fancy in the next at Chelmsford, opened up around 8-1, now odds on at some bookies.

I reckon this one could be one of Anthony Honeyballs better horses. One of my serious tracker horses. She's entered on Monday at Catterick, also has an entry in the Grand National Trial, plus the Eider Chase at Newcastle. She's got a good race in her I believe.

I think the prices for the 2.20 at Bangor tomorrow are all wrong with Sainte Ladylime favourite in my book. Was tanking when she fell first time up at Huntingdon and ran a decent race when second over too short a trip last time out. Kim Bailey's in far better form now. Antartica de Thaix's fall when alone last time out was worrying for her. Wouldnt surprise me if the prices closed tomorrow. 7/4 is way too big in my book and will be having my biggest bet in a long while on her.
