World Hurdle 2016

I thought at one time he might run More of that in the WH again but only if Minella Rocco were to make the grade as a chaser.

He might run Rocco in the World Hurdle now but no chance MOT will go.

Minella Rocco has been a hell of a talking horse when he's achieved the square root of nowt.

Broke s few hearts at Jackdaw as they thought he was the best young horse to step into the yard in years. Even AP said he was the horse he would most miss riding when retiring.

He's young and yet to find his way so I wouldn't be giving up on him

I backed Vroom Vroom Mag NRNB at 7/1 this morning for. I reckon she'll win & win well at Ascot this Saturday. If that's the case her price will contract dramatically.

Can't see them sending Annie Power to the WH simply because it looks as if it'll be straight to Cheltenham.

Happy enough with that. She won very easily as I thought she would. 7/2 for March now.

his runs more recently have been slogs re pace and ground..he has won at 2 miles in the past..doen't mean thats his best trip now

With Cole Harden in the race it's hardly going to be a jog and sprint is it?

He has plenty of form on g/s which is the firmest ground you'll ever see at Cheltenham these days. The only question he really has to answer is the course and we'll find that out soon enough.

I have had a small tickle on Ptit Zig at 85 on Betfair.

He was rated 159 over hurdles, his best performance probably coming in an Auteuil G1 over 20f (admittedly as a juvenile) over 20.5f on Heavy (pulling clear at the end), and the trainer does OK with his failed chasers reverting back to hurdles. He has a touch of class which many of the others at the head of the betting don't have, and whilst the trip is a step into the unknown, he holds the Cleeve entry this weekend, and I won't have to wait too long until I know if it's live or not for the Festival.

I just realized Windsor Park has not been entered for the World Hurdle or any other race for that matter..........must have gone wrong ?

I was for backing him but on on the day thankfully

Did I miss something like Dermot Weld notifying the racing public there was a problem?

I know which gives him a perfect profile to be yet another winner for Jonjo at a huge price.

He's turned worse horse than him round and won at Cheltenham with them. the aptly named Sudden Shock I got 33/1 about him after he was beaten in a 2 horse race by one of Pipes

And then there was that nut job of a thing that he won the same race with at 33/1 I think......even his lad never backed him as he was a raving lunatic of a horse.....Write of anything Jonjo runs at your peril

Those two wouldn't be half the horse of Rocco if Jonjo can get him jumping...He's got him in the JLT can get 1 pound on at 80 :) you never know. Go for it!!!

Not normally my thing, but reckon Thistlecrack is a banker so will be lumping on the 11/4 NRNB before he waltz's home in the Cleeve

I have to agree. Im on MT ew but he is worrying me now. Thistle is improving every race and is starting to look bombproof. He'd be odds on if Mullins was training him.

Another not mentioned yet is Prince Of Scars 20/1 NRNB e/way SKYBET https://www.skybet.com/horse-racing/cheltenham/event/18672860

He beat Alpha Des Obeaux with ease at Leopardstown and looks and travels just like Thistlecrack to my eyes. ADO was giving Thistlecrack a race at Aintree last season and was only 1L down when fell at the 2nd last and Thistlecrack looked all out at the time. The trainer says he won't run POS at Cheltenham unless there is soft mentioned in the ground and that seems very likely to me. I would imagine if he lines up he'll be single figures on the day.
