Official Cheltenham Festival Preview organised by Cheltenham and Three Counties Racecourse.

Crikey Moses! How many times can people say the same thing over and over? The preview night's a nice little earner these days, innit?

I'm on the panel at Towcester on Weds 10th March along with Kieran Packman (Timeform), Robert Cooper (ATR), Mark Winstanley (stand up comedian) and Gary Wiltshire + one other (usual panelist Matt Chapman can't make it - think I upset him last year). Get there early before Wiltshire eats all the pork sarnies :)

Any idea who's filling the + one other yet? Few people from work thinking of going along....

This should reduce the audience substantially

One thing that I don't understand about Timeform radio is why they persist in re-running the radio commentaries on the previews/reviews of the closing stages of races. Anybody who hasn't seen the race can see it for themselves on ATR/RUK.

Just a waste of time really. But then again so is listening to Terry Norman...

It's the lesser of two evils really - reviews make more sense with context although audio is a poor substitute for pictures. No comment on the latter point.

I tuned into Timeform radio this afternoon hoping to catch Kiimberlite King's race from Fairyhouse only to find they weren't covering it. Have they dropped the coverage of Irish racing? If so, where else can I get it on the internet?

They certainly don't do it on a regular basis anyway. Paddy Power Radio do commentary as far as I'm aware - albeit it's restricted to the very basics.

In fairness to Timeform Radio, it really is head and shoulders above anything else out there.

Irish racing rarely covered in studio except on Sundays, I'm afraid. It is covered on the TF radio phone service on 08720 101 101.
