Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Big fella thanks retired after pulling up wonky at cheltenham this evening. Hopefully he will be ok and have a long and happy retirement doing fun stuff :)

What a shame; am I right in thinking that, over the past few years we've lost a few Ebor winners. I know, one year both first and second horses lost their lives the following season.

Thanks Unsinkable Boxer and you are clearly a Pond House fan :)

He was around during a brilliant period for 2 milers & also made a couple of remarkable comebacks after long breaks for injury. Lovely to read he retired to Timmy Murphy's

Fantastic horse and a fantastic training performance by the Pipes. H should have won a ChCH but, in my eyes he was a ChCh winner in all but name. RIP
 
Gutting about the Chief.

Such a shame we didn't get to see him in the 06 season as was expecting to see an even better Chief.
 
Portage, last year's Hunt Cup winner at Royal Ascot and due to run again this year, retired after suffering injury at home.
