First Season Sires 2019

Cable Bay's Liberty Beach wins at Redcar and Ivawood's Ivatheengine wins at Windsor. The latter is trained by David Evans who seems to have some useful 2yos.

Ivatheengine franks the form of Flippa the Strippa to whom he was 2nd at Chester on their debuts. Well related as this gelding traces back to the dam of the influential Rafha ( Group 1 filly and dam of Invincible Spirit and Kodiac).

Archie Watson has yet another winner, with FSS Capella Sansevero's 2nd winner Calippo at Lingfield on the turf, while at Wetherby, Gutaifan's Coastal Mist won the first. Gutaifan quickly followed up when Graceful Magic won the first at Sandown for Eve Johnson-Houghton.

Wednesday
Tom Tulliver gives Hot Streak yet another at Yarmouth
The thread's favourite FSS trainer has another winner with a FSS when Daredevil (USA)'s son Better the Devil wins at Hamilton. It will be informative to see if all these Watson winners result in a Royal Ascot winner next week (he did get one last year).

Ger Lyon's Justifier makes a winning debut at Leopardstown to give FSS Free Eagle a winner.

Ger Lyons gave an interesting interview afterwards at the track. He says he's been taking his 2yos along more quietly this year, because most of them will be going over 7f and a mile. Nevertheless, out of four to have seen the track so far this season three have won. Tonight's winner had never had an away day or galloped on turf before.

Proportion of winners to runners so far is disappointing for the leading sires apart from Due Diligence and Gleneagles.

Re second season are the No Nay Never stock not training on or is it too early to say ?
You would expect the Kingman and Australia stock to improve with age.

Of course there is AOB's Coventry runner Arizona!
