Yes I did mate thank you and passed it on to Pete. Might have a look at a Westerner there depending on prices

Pricewise it's got to be the most unpredictable sale of all. There are definitely some bargains, but you see the prices of others and you just shake your head.

Always enjoy going though. And there's a good social atmosphere.

Nice double Roddy, great ride by Jamie Moore not to forget the horse who battled it out bravely to win having been passed.

Well done Roddy! spot on with both predictions. :adore:

Unfortunately for our syndicate Intense Feeling was claimed so we are currently looking at other options for another horse.

After looking at the options available to us, it has been decided we will take the half share in Dark Lane. He is something of an old timer at 8 but he did win 15,000 in prize money during 2013 and another 5000 so far this year. He has got a handicap mark from which we can expect a win from in the near future and, while he is not going to improve, we can expect him to be competitive in nearly every race he runs at the low level.

We see this as an interim measure and if possible we will get a half share in a 2 year old if David Evans has one available in two or three months.

Our other horse Lager Time is coming back tonight but David does not want to lease him again. Reading between the lines, I think he has had to pay so much to keep him and work on him to solve the problem at the starting gates that he thinks all the benefit should accrue to him if it works out. There is a risk anyway that the horse may continue to cause problems at the start and he could get banned for life.

Lager Time should win tonight in the 6.20 at Kempton, provided he goes in the stalls OK.Probably wise to back in running.

Dark Lane has an each way chance tomorrow in the 5.35 at Goodwood.
