didn't know where to put his, but loved James Best on Pilgrims Bay at Kempton this afternoon and this is one of my favorite in running write ups from the Sporting Life...

Patiently ridden and held up last, hit 7th, steady headway 14th, tracking leaders on inside on bit before 3 out, 2nd 3 out, produced to lead at the last, kept on well and always doing enough run-in, wonderful ride

George Baker airlifted to a trauma hospital in a life threating condition following a three horse fall at St Moritz in which his horse died and in which he was trapped under the horse. A hole has been found in the ice under the covering of snow and the meeting has been abandoned.

From Derek Thompson who is in in St Moritz....
"Just talked to the hospital here in Switzerland and George Baker is now 'in intensive care"

It's actually 50cm of compressed snow on top of 50cm of ice and after Friday's meeting it was stated it was the best surface they had raced on for three or four years. A lot of our trainers send horses there, the one in the incident was one of Jamie Osborne's.
