Galikova is 121. If you were to add the 11lb back in she would be 132 (i.e. the same as SYT, on 132).

141 was simply the number generated for both in the RP data (e.g. 1lb ahead of Workforce on 131, expressed in the data as 140).

I agree, it's the horse that will win the race, not the rating. I think she has as good a chance as anything and better than most and I'm happy with 8/1.

It would also be remiss of me not to mention that Galikova has a pleasing blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree being by Galileo out of a Blushing Groom mare. But this should already be apparent.

All things being equal I'd prefer Reliable Man of the two. But the going should be very different from the Prix Niel and in this circumstance Meandre may come out best.

Yes... Bago could only make third in the Prix Niel, but then won the Arc and followed up in the Ganay at the start of the following season.

16 look set to go to post in the Arc. Seville the only horse to come out. Meandre, Masked Marvel and Danedream all supplemented.

Would anyone like to guess what kind of price So You Think will be on the PMU, bearing in mind he'll be coupled with St Nicholas Abbey and possibly Treasure Beach or Seville?

He'll be bigger than the industry SP I reckon, Sarafina and Galikova will be very popular on the PMU plus they have Meandre and Reliable Man to get stuck into.

It's shaping into a hell of a race with Masked Marvel and Meandre added to the field today.

I've had ante-post bets on Fame And Glory (against your advice... more fool me), Sarafina and Galikova. Sarafina is no more than a covering bet at this stage. Galikova is the only possibility I have to win (not each-way). So I'm actually out on a limb... it's all or nothing.

I would have backed Reliable Man on easier going.
