I backed 5 horses e/w.

I didn't fancy Samitar one bit, and though HQ was the best place lay of the season. I ruled out the Wall horse as not good enough, and then felt really confident about the race.

Looking forward to Lyric of Light coming back now.

I like Gatewood and think he may well win, but he's quite short.

I like the first 2 Godolphin horses e/w, especially French Navy, who goes well fto, and should go well in this ground. Not on a bad mark.

Asking for 4/1 about Gatewood. Given the way he races he will trade longer in running than he has been pre race.

I think the winner would give any other filly a decent race.

Maybe the one to take from the race is Irish History, just her third start, and the only one who raced near the pace to do well. She ran green late on as well.

Re Noble Mission.
Travelled all over them; came to win his race, and just ran out of petrol. Nothing Queally could have done would have changed that, imo.

I did after his York run. But he was too short at Epsom.

This might just be a year where the handicaps are easier than condition races.
