The Road to the 2012 2000 Guineas

Best to wait until the day if you're not sure. The 2.00 is over 1m1f and there is a big field declared so you should get an idea of the draw bias.

Afraid this won't be the case as I believe the stalls will only be in the centre for the Guineas, for the 1m1f race they'll be stands side.

Firmly in the French Fifteen camp for this now but the other two French colts and Trumpet Major all net tidy profits.

Not just where the stalls are but the rail will be moved to to use the best strips of ground. No doubt there will be some sort of advantage, but all we can do in the meantime is align ourselves with whichever ones we want to be with.

Joseph confirmed for Camelot. Hope he doesn't take him over to the July course for the better ground.

...there's just no pleasing some of you.

It did occur to be 2 minutes later that the July course joke was worth a  but at that stage the pedantic cynic side of my personality had already posted.

I'll try and get him to apologise...

A pedantic cynic would point out that the July course exists because the Rowley Mile drains so well that it gets too firm in high summer, and that therefore the ground is unlikely to be better on the July course if its already Soft on the Rowley Mile

Now that is worth a

...but the joke doesn't work at all then... it clearly needs a bit of work.:(

Greening up for a can of coke and a twix?! :D

Nah - When you're this much ahead of the market you've got to take a deep breath and let it ride!! Isn't that right Slim?!!! :ninja:

All the pro-traders holf out for a bottle of coke and a Kit-Kat at least...

A horse walks into a bar on the Rowley Mile course with a bandage round his head...

I like the opening, but it's not there yet.

The best draw will be where the pace is (it invariably is); and with Ptolemaic drawn 1 and Abtaal 2, it looks a no-brainer which is the best side to be at the moment.

5 of the top 8 in the betting are drawn in the furthest 5 stalls from where the pace is likely to be.
Don't say you weren't warned.;)

Where do you reckon the pace will be then? You would surely expect a bit of pace from five of the top eight.
