What are you backing Today? Part 2

At a loose end so checked the Kempton card looking for positives of some sort - could be a disaster . Generally I follow Tim Drakesford's advice as I respect his long experience - a) Does the horse have sufficient ability to win a race of this sort? b) Are the circumstances right for the ability to be shown on this occasion? c) Do the connectio0ns expect the horse to win or go close on this occasion? Perhaps I will find a couple from these?

Kempton (St to Slw) Market odds from 3pm.
4.30 Miss Dolly Rocker (9/4), Arctician (11/2) S Dow 17% past 14 days.
5.00 New Chelsea ((3/1), Royal Tapestry (4/1)
5.30 Sommelier (1/3) M Botti 35%, Tangled Up In Blue (13/2)
6.00 Ezra Cee (5/4) P Chapple-Hyam 50%, State Flag (6/1)

Sorry Bete, I think you might be aluding to my post on Dotties Star.

I've been really busy working so was lazy. Dotties has been on my radar for a while. I think as a former post on this thread will attest, I picked up on him after he was held up in a four runner race. Something about that run told me the horse wasn't been given the best chance of winning for whatever reason.

He then turned his relatively poor form right around, with different tactics, when trying to make all at Windsor, pulling clear of the third.

Given I heard one of his parents, think it was his dam, has had multiple all weather winners, I have backed Dotties Star tonight.

Hope this helps.

Well done Placebacker by the way.

Greatwood - Gin Coco 16/1, 6 places - excellent second to Iliketomoveit in this race last year and he’s only 2lbs higher. It was a very strongly run event which possibly bottomed the winner and Gin Coco himself wasn’t seen again until the County – presumably they felt he needed time to get over the race too – for which he was only 13/2. If the first-time tongue tie helps him, always assuming that the race didn’t bottom him, then he probably shouldn’t be this kind of price.

Just noticed it came out and won today but very short odds so I wouldn't have backed it anyway.

Wouldn't have Funambule Sivola on my mind either.

Boothill looked like he's improves a stone at Kempton.

he looks the right fave and should take care of this lot easily if in the same frame of mind.

Boothill 11/4 looks a gift
