What are you backing Today?

Congratulations Marble!

I had to put your bet in a Lucky15, thank you so much!

I owe you a pint.

Feeling pleased with my decision to plunge on Nicholls-he had a nice double today and more importantly if I was playing today and yesterday I would have lost my conkers.

Cheers everyone. I've got the e/w double up which I am chuffed about.

This is my hobby and I love trying to work out a race and find the winner. That is what I love about forums and racing. I really enjoyed watching that last winner, especially after the jockey nearly fell off after being brought down mid race:)

Thanks now.:)

Ponty 4.55 Misiere @ 4.0

Skinny price but stable have taken this over from Fahey having run in the same 2yo maiden as Yeeoow, who ran well earlier.

They should also have a formline for Finnese, who finished behind Yeeoow on her debut, although she will improve.

good call

lots and lots of pace in the 5.25 race..will have a lazy punting dutch on hold uppers veiled applause & goldenveil

Thanks.

Place only bet @ 2.16 on Veilled applause.

Really wanted to be on Gala Casino Star, but I'm clueless re jockey.

Tough luck with the Striker. I thought he may struggle up the hill, but ran really well beaten by a rag, although it was backed late on from 25/1.

aye..

now on to proper betting;)...best bet of the day..its in the 7.30...House Rules..at 2.82 must be the bet of the week..miles clear of these.

18:50C Tiqris @ 7/1. Saw this horse of Charlie Brookes dot up for Tom Lacey in a Maiden P2P at Whitfield last month, nothing remarkable about that in itself but he was brought to a standstill by a horrific mistake at the second last but recovered well enough appear to be going twice as fast as his rivals approaching the last which he flew and was going away at the finish to score by 8-10 lengths. He didn't beat a heck of a lot that day but he looked a really really useful type and certainly the sort who'd be capable of going close in a Bumper (wrote about him on "The Pointing Thread" at the time).

That sounds interesting but this is not the worst of bumpers, Martin, far from it (even if Vrai Vert's RPR looks to be at least a stone too high). The top three in the betting all have obvious chances and the Hobbs horse, Irish Buccaneer, was born with the words "Bred to win bumpers" printed on his rump. A race to treat with caution, methinks.

Vrai Vert also by the best young stallion around Grey :)

First division is a good chance to grab some value too - with the 3m 4f++ Staying Chaser in the making Toby Lerone (took an age to get on top in both his wins) in at at a best price 9/2 for what looks likely to prove a lot shorter than ideal even at this stage of his career.

Scuderia is available at 28/1 for that on the back of a runner-up position in his only p2p start in Ireland - a race which he reportedly wasn't fully wound up for. Jamie Snowden is getting a better class of horse these days (including some useful enough looking pointers) and with Scuderia staying on well late on and only just going down in a photo finish he looks worth an E/W bet in what looks an interesting race.

I think Oscar Whisky is a good thing and is drifting to a more than backable price now.

Also like Tullarmore Dew in the one after. Horse has a bit of class about him and I think he'll go close.

Was waiting for this fella almost as eagerly as last nights aeroplane... delighted with the price.. slaughter job!!

The words "off a cliff" and "follow you lemming like" sprung to mind as I backed him! Joseph was asking for you by the way...:ninja:

2 winners for Joseph and a winner for Shane Gray was only spoiled by you getting him to ride non-jigger. The 16/1 double fights on!
