Cheers, surprised he went off so big, thought there'd be some support. One of the last 2 popping in would be nice, I've permed them.

Aintree
7.05 Saint Charles
7.35 Kruzhlinin

Both being backed this morning. Each available at 7/1 last night but now no more than 5s

Confidence low after a bad day yesterday. Was convinced Midnight Macchiato was a good thing at Newmarket yesterday evening. Very disappointing after the poor rides Foundation and Express Himself received.

Today I have three trackers all primed and ready to ensure a good weekend.

Dougan at Newbury. Very eye catching at Newmarket. He re-opposes Englishman on better terms and may have won anyway with a clear run.

Secret Hint at York. This filly was in my tracker two years ago and won for me at Newmarket back end of that season. She went into the tracker again last Ebor meeting when she flew home over 7f (previously a 6f specialist). She's been overfaced in conditions races on the sand all winter but has her conditions today.

Plymouth Sound at Newmarket. Very tenderley ridden first time out. I have to hope whoever's on him today gives the horse achance, I'm convinced there's a handicap in this horse over 10f.

A member of Dougan's owner group posts on the football forum I post on and they have a slight worry about the ground.

Good luck Euro, hope you have a better day! I like Plymouth Sound's chances and have followed you in. I also like two of Bryan Smart's at Newmarket tonight, Exception and Wotnot, will have a double depending on how I go at York this afternoon.

Some money about for Donald McCains Cowslip in 5:25 at Aintree. Has some useful old form that would give him a winning chance off this mark.

No time for analysis today but quite a few i'm supporting.

3.10 - Newbury - Englishman. 2.5 pts win. Available at 9/2.
4.40 - York - Top Tug. 1.5 pts win. Available at 8/1.
6.50 - Hamilton - Push Me. 1 pt e/w. Available at 10/1.
5.25 - Aintree - At First Light. 1 pt e/w. Available at 11/1.
7.05 - Aintree - Mad Jack Mytton. 2 pts win. Available ay 5/1.
7.35 - Aintree - Presenting Junior. 1 pt e/w. Available at 14/1.

There was no real excuse for the very disappointing run From Mad Jack Myton last time. The money was down and fingers were burned.

He came there that day like he was going to hack up then nothing. I am assured that won't happen today.

Back in again but obviously a bit cautious so backed him EW early as you do

8.40 - the Nicholls horse looked slow last time and can't see why he's favourite other than the trainer. Taking him on with Poetic Rhythm at 11/2 ew.

Carrington in the 7.45 at Donny. This horse was slowly away first time out before powering home to score narrowly. There's more to come, esp over a mile. Progress that should offset a 4lb rise. I've gone ew with this one as a few of the 3yo handicappers I've backed this season are getting chinned by other progressive types.
The Lockinge looks tough, nothing stands out. So I'm hoping the ground has dried out enough for Euro Charline who on her best form looks way overpriced at 20/1.

I like the Carrington shout Euro I trackered that one myself after last time.

Toormoore deserves to win a race like the Lockinge and I can see him repelling all comers from the front.

A winner and one placed yesterday for a profit again. No analysis again today but plenty to get stuck into.

Today's Selections:

1.50 - Newmarket - Athletic. 1.5 pts win. Available at 9/1.

2.50 - Thirsk - Energia Flavio. 1.5 pts win. Available at 9/1.

4.35 - Thirsk:
Dragon King. 1.5 pts win. Available at 9/1.
Confessional. 1 pt e/w. Available at 14/1.

5.15 - Newmarket - Silver Bid. 1.5 pts win. Available at 11/1.

5.35 - Newbury - Hail Clodius. 1 pt e/w. Available at 14/1.

8.15 - Doncaster:
Intisaab. 2 pts win. Available at 11/2.
Nezar. 0.5 pts e/w. Available at 20/1.

By my calculations Southdown Lad is a well-handicapped horse on the strength of the time he recorded when winning a nursery at Newmarket last backend. It's not too hard to excuse his comeback run at the Craven Meeting - ran too freely on his first start for ages, ground too soft - and on better ground today with the freshness out of him he looks decent value at 20s for the London Gold Cup at Newbury this afternoon.

Good luck to everyone having a bet.

I'm thinking the pace angle could be important in the 3:35 at Newmarket.
There is no clear pacesetter. However, Elronaq made all on its maiden win as a two year old, before finishing 3rd to Shalaa. He lost his way after that, (later in the season), but you'd think Charles Hills might have this fella at his best again early season similarly to last year. The Invincible Spirit's usually train on, and Elronaq could steal this from the front. He's worth considering as a trade in running also. I'm hit and miss at the moment though, so don't bank on this coming off! :)

Anyone know what price Hunters Vision (7:30 Utt) has been punted in from tonight?
He's a 3's chance but should be much bigger on form. Looks like a right gamble.

I hope Charlie Appleby crashes on the way home. Incompetent piece of ****

Bad day at the office.

Least you put em up Ricko, awful 3 days for me - only Majestic Hero with Spencer of all people in a sprint partially pulled me out of the mire, hit the damn crossbar with Prescott's Marsha to fully pull me out.

Richard Johnson to ride a double at Market Rasen at 11/4 with SkyBet. These jockey specials don't normally seem great value to me but on this occasion Dickie has a full book of rides and all are currently single figure prices
